Attention Juniors & Seniors
If you are interested in taking a college course at either UW-Milwaukee through the Early College Credit Program (or another college) or Milwaukee Area Technical College through the Start College Now program, please see your counselor before October 1. You can pick up the application, and we can discuss all of the ins and outs of the process. October 1st is a strict deadline. You cannot turn in applications after this date.
Please stop in with any questions.

Order School Photos - Retake Day Oct 7
If your student was photographed on September 11th (Picture Day), their image is now available to view and order.
To access the photos, please visit the Scholastic Reflections website and log in with your email address and your student's Student Number (this serves as the access code).
Order Deadline: October 5th
Not sure of your student's number? You can find it in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal or by asking your student directly.
Students who were photographed on Picture Day should receive their student ID card during Advisory today.
FOR STUDENTS ABSENT ON PICTURE DAY:
Make-up photos will be taken on October 7th. Students may have their photo taken during a free period or lunch. Scholastic Reflections requests that students sign up in advance to participate in Retake Day. Please complete this form to add your student to the list.
If you have any questions, please contact Jane Devine at jdevine@shorewood.k12.wi.us.
SENIORS - 2026
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is projected to open on October 1, 2025. Many schools require that you and your caregivers fill this out soon after the 1st. Caregivers and you will enter in your income from the previous year, which will determine what kind of federal aid you can receive for college--in the form of work study, loans, or grants.
See this blog for some interesting updates:
For those interested in UW-Madison--new this year, you will need to fill out the CSS profile (only once, whereas FAFSA you fill out every year). I've linked that below as well:
https://cssprofile.collegeboard.org/
Our next college workshop will be Wednesday, October 1 at lunch in the LMC South. Hope to see many of you in attendance.
Direct Admit Wisconsin
Seniors
Please be sure to check your Shorewood email. The vast majority of you should have received your Direct Admit offers for the Universities of Wisconsin. We did have technical issues, so it's possible that some of you have not received this email yet, but if you did get the confirmation email, please be sure to check to see what schools you were automatically admitted to within Wisconsin. The sender of the email is likely "Direct Admit WI."
It is imperative that you fill out the Direct Admit form as next steps if you plan to attend one of the universities in your list. We are happy to help with this if needed.
Congrats to everyone! And feel free to stop down to student support if you have additional questions.
YEARBOOK - COPPERDOME
Have you ordered your issue of the Copperdome (yearbook) yet? Are you a Senior and not sure how to get your Senior photo into the yearbook? Our Copperdome staff has all of that information in this document for your reference. Should you have any questions, please send an email to SHS Yearbook at yearbook@shorewood.k12.wi.us.
