The
🌸 Happy Spring Break, Willard Families! 🌸
You did it — and so did your kids! Spring Break is officially here, and it couldn't be more well-deserved. We are so proud of the hard work, growth, and joy our students have poured into these past weeks. Watching them thrive and model flexibility with schedules, weather, and fun has been great to witness.
This is your time to slow down, soak it all in, and make some memories. Whether you're hopping on a plane, exploring your own backyard, having movie marathons in pajamas, or simply enjoying mornings without an alarm clock — we hope every day feels a little lighter and a little warmer. You've all earned it!
A Few Friendly Reminders: Permissive Transfer Updates
For families who applied for a permissive transfer, here's a quick recap of where things stand — please don't let these slip through the cracks while you're relaxing!
- March 23 — Initial notifications were sent by email letting families know if their request was accepted, declined, or waitlisted. Check your inbox if you haven't already!
- By April 1 — If you received an acceptance, please accept or decline your placement through PowerSchool using the Permissive Transfer Confirmation Form.
If you're part of the second-round process:
- April 2 — Additional approval notifications will go out by email.
- By April 11 — Families must accept or decline through the same process.
A little spring cleaning of your inbox could go a long way — please check your email and complete any required steps by the deadlines to secure your spot. We're happy to help if you have any questions!
🏀 March Madness Update!
Spring Break and March Madness — is there a better combo? Here's the latest buzzer-to-buzzer action:
Men's Tournament (Elite Eight): Yesterday delivered a Sunday to remember! Michigan absolutely dominated Tennessee in a blowout, 95–62 — the Wolverines are rolling! And in the night's most dramatic finish, UConn edged out Duke in a heart-stopper, 73–72 (sorry, Blue Devils fans 😬). The Huskies are headed to the Final Four! Up next: Illinois vs. UConn tips off Saturday at 5:09 PM CDT, and Arizona takes on Michigan right after at 7:49 PM CDT. Final Four bound? We'll find out soon!
Women's Tournament: The women kept the intensity going too! UConn cruised past Notre Dame 70–52 — Let's Go Huskies! 🐺 South Dakota knocked off Montana State 65–56, and UCLA upset Duke 70–58. More action on tap today — BYU vs. Kansas tips off at 4:00 PM CDT and Texas vs. Michigan gets going at 6:00 PM CDT. Don't blink!
Enjoy every single moment ahead — you deserve it! 💛
Best,
AP Ernvall
