If your child is changing transportation, be sure to send in a note. Without this note, we must send them home via their typical transportation. This includes changing from car rider to bus rider, bus rider to car rider, or if your child is riding the bus to a different location than their normal stop.

The Site Based Decision Making Council is in need of a parent representative.

What is SBDM?

Membership of each council includes parents, teachers, and an administrator of the school. School councils promote shared leadership among those who are closest to the students, having the responsibility to set school policy and make decisions outlined in statute, which should provide an environment to enhance student achievement. The policies should assist in meeting the goals established by Kentucky law.

Meetings take place once a month and are currently set for Tuesday afternoons at 4:30. If you have further questions about SBDM and what it entails, you can contact the LJES PTA , your child's teacher, or email/call Mr. Mullins.

If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else, please complete the form at the link below. It can be sent to school with your child and the office will make sure it makes it to the PTA mailbox.

Volunteers are permitted in the building during the school day. All volunteers must have a volunteer background check on file and must show their ID at the front office upon arrival. Lisa White is our Volunteer Coordinator and can help to find a place where you are needed as a volunteer in the building.
