Good afternoon, Bear Creek Community

Hoping everyone had a wonderful time at the family day on Saturday.

May is approaching quickly. It is important to check in with your student to learn what they need to be prepared for finals. AP students are finishing up their prep for the exams that start the week of May 6th.

Seniors will need support with keeping their focus in this last month. Senior grades are finalized on May 24th. The rest of our students will be taking their finals on the 29th, 30th and 31st.

Please do your best to encourage your students to be prepared and do their personal best these last five weeks of school.

In Community,

Mrs. Hummel

Students and Parents:

Senior prank season is upon us, so there are a couple things that we need to keep in mind. Under no circumstances should a prank damage any property, have the potential to hurt any people or animals, or be in violation of education code. A common prank involves squirt guns or water guns. These, along with any imitation fire arm, are not to be brought to school. Any pranks or ditch days are not school sponsored events, although the intentions may be for fun, there can be serious consequences.

Seniors who participate in graduation

Seniors who participate in graduation must meet Lodi USD graduation requirements and demonstrate good school behavior. Students suspended from school may be placed on a 45-day social probation. Students can also be placed on social probation for excessive tardies. This means students put on social probation within 45 school days of graduation and graduation practice will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony or other activities. (Board Policy 6145)

We are twenty-five days from graduation.

Senior Google Classroom for Graduation Assignments Due Date is Approaching

Jazz and Symphonic band

The jazz band and symphonic band ranked with honors at the Northern California Band Association Music Festival on 4/20 at Pittsburg High School.

Ranking with honors is incredibly difficult and tests the student’s ability to read music on sight with masterful musicianship and no rehearsal.

We are so proud that they play for The Creek.

The Symphonic Band and Advanced Choir ranked superior at the Golden Empire Music Festival on 4/13. The choir received two perfect scores overall.
