Hello TIGER Family,

As we approach the beginning of the 2025–2026 school year, we are filled with anticipation and enthusiasm to welcome our students back to campus! The first day of school, Wednesday, August 13th, marks the start of another exciting chapter in your child’s educational journey.

To ensure a smooth and successful transition, we want to provide you with the essential information needed to support your child as they return to school. Returning Student Online Registration

Online registration for returning students will open on July 28. Families may access the registration portal through the district website at www.grisd.net. If you require assistance or have any questions during the registration process, please feel free to contact or visit the school office. We are here to support you.

New to District Student Registration

Registration for new students to GRISD will take place on all campuses, beginning July 31. Specific times, location, and dates will be posted on our website soon.

A list of required documents is also available on our website at www.grisd.net. Please remember to bring proof of residency when registering.

If you ordered a school supplies pack through the school, then your child's supplies will be in the classroom prior to Meet the Teacher. If you did not order the school supplies pack through the school, we encourage your child to bring his/her school supplies during Meet the Teacher!

First Day of School ~ Wednesday, August 13

*Doors open at 7:15 to welcome students to campus! You are welcome to drop your child off in the car rider line between 7:15 and 7:50. If you are planning to walk your child in on his/her first day, please note that parking may be difficult. You are welcome to walk your child in between 7:35-7:50 AM. Staff will be located at all entries/exits of the building to greet students as they make their way to the classroom on their first day.

Monday, August 11: Meet the Teacher & Meet the TIGERS!

Meet the Teacher:

Meet the Teacher is scheduled for Monday, August 11. Your child's homeroom teacher will reach out to you prior to this day to set a meet and greet appointment with you and your child! All appointments will take place in the afternoon. We hope the appointment gives you and your child time to ask questions, gather information, and prepare for the first day of school!

MEET THE TIGERS- Tiger Stadium 6:15 PM

We would love all of our students, families, and community members to join us at TIGER Stadium to meet our Glen Rose Tigers!

All information regarding buses and drop-off/pick-up routines and procedures, will be shared during your “Meet the Teacher” appointment. For information on bus routes, please contact Jason Pounds, Transportation Coordinator (254)-898-3917.

Note, all morning drop-off is in the back of the school. Maps and specific information will be shared during your "Meet the Teacher" appointment.

3rd grade pick-up is in the FRONT of the school. Also, 4th and 5th graders who having siblings or carpool with a 3rd grader will also be picked up in the front of the school.

4th and 5th grade pick-up will take place in the back of the school. Pick-up time begins at 3:28 PM.

Yes! You are always welcome to enjoy lunch with your child here at school! Upon arrival, please check-in to the front office. You are welcome to eat in the cafeteria with your child or in our Tiger Foyer!

Lunch Times:

3rd grade lunch: 10:50-11:20

4th grade lunch: 11:30-12:00

5th grade lunch: 12:05-12:35

If you are dropping off a lunch for your child, you are welcome to leave it in the front office with Mrs. Emily Hernandez, Campus Secretary.

Communication is essential as we work together to ensure your child has a successful school year. Although we have many communication outlets in place, please never hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Our goal is ALWAYS to work together to ensure your child's SUCCESS on every level!
