It's More than Dress Code: Uniforms showcase Pride & Unity
We’re excited to share that 95% of our scholars rocked their uniforms during the first week of school way to go, Tigers! Thank you to our amazing families for helping us kick off the year in style and showing strong support for our uniform policy.
Uniforms are mandatory daily even on Fridays, students must be in uniform. Students should wear their house-colored polos or house team t-shirts with khaki bottoms. Feel free to accessorize with fun bows, socks, belts, and more just keep it school appropriate and house-pride ready! 🎀🧢🧦
Let’s continue to lead, dress for success.
All Prek-2 graders received thier house via email from the house sponsers. Check with your child's teacher on Monday. Hard copy letters will be in their backpack on Monday.

We want every student to feel confident and ready for school each day.
If your family could use assistance with school uniforms, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

No Cell Phone or Smart Device Policy
Per the new GA & Fulton County Schools policy, cell phones and smart devices (including smartwatches) are strictly prohibited during the school day for all PreK–8 students. If a student brings a device to school, it must be turned off and kept inside their book bag at all times.
🚫 If a device is seen or used during the school day, it will be confiscated and secured in the front office. A parent or guardian will be required to come to the school to pick it up.
This policy is in place to protect instructional time and reduce distractions in the learning environment.
For full details, please review the device policy at www.fultonschools.org.
Enroll in the Device Protection Plan!
Student Devices are Provided This Week
We want to remind all families that any damage to district-issued laptops will now be the responsibility of the family, not the school. These updates are designed to reduce distractions, promote responsible technology use, and ensure that all students have reliable access to the learning tools provided by the district. Parents, insure your scholar’s school-issued laptop through the Fulton County Schools Device Protection Plan for just $25 for College Park Families for the entire year.
This small investment can save you from high out-of-pocket costs!
To enroll or learn more about the protection plan, visit the Fulton County Schools website
Golden Tigerettes Clinic & Tryouts
Golden Tigerettes Cheerleading & Dance Team are right around the corner! Scholars in grades 2–5 are invited to show their spirit and leadership by trying out for this dynamic team. Tryout clinics will be held on August 18 and 19, where participants will learn the routines and prepare for their big moment. Official tryouts will take place on August 20. Team announcements will be posted on August 22.
At College Park Elementary, we begin each day with Leader in Me lessons during the first 15 minutes of class. This dedicated time allows all scholars to build leadership skills, develop positive habits, and grow socially and emotionally. Rooted in The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Leader in Me empowers students to take ownership of their learning and actions preparing them to lead both in school and in life. Every morning, we’re not just starting the day we’re building a legacy of leaders. Students will now have leadership portfolios and leadership binders.

Extend Leadership Roles At Home: Parent Resource
Leadership isn’t just something our students practice at school it can flourish at home too! The Leader in Me approach encourages children to take ownership, set goals, and make positive choices in every area of life. We invite parents to check out this insightful article on how leadership skills can extend into family life, daily routines, and even household responsibilities.

Strong Start
We were so excited to welcome back our smiling students as summer break came to an end and a brand-new school year began! The energy was high and the excitement was real! Our new 3rd–5th grade scholars spun into their houses on Day 1, while our Pre-K–2nd graders will sort into their houses on Friday! Our students are already diving into the curriculum and showing they’re ready to lead with excellence. This year is off to a powerful start, and we can’t wait to watch our Tigers grow and shine as leaders all year long. Check out some of our first week back to school photos.
