Principal's Update
10/30/26
EES Families,
Happy Friday! Hope to see many of you at our Fall Dance tonight! Thank you to families for joining our All School Morning Meeting this week. We had an inspiring presentation from our 1st graders on the power of the word βyetβ and we celebrated students and our Staff Superhero! Congratulations to Mr. Mike and all our Spotlight Award recipients!
We also celebrated our third graders for earning the Attendance Award for the second month in a row! We know attendance can be a challenge this time of year as germs spread. Please encourage your student to continue healthy habits (hand washing, covering coughs/sneezes, eating healthy, and getting plenty of rest). If your student is absent, please leave a message on our attendance line (508-255-0808 ext. 6) to report the reason. If your student is seen by a medical provider (for an illness, dental appointment, well visit, etc), please provide a note for the main office to mark their absence, tardy, or early dismissal as excused. You can read more about our district attendance policy on Nausetβs online policy manual link.
A big THANK YOU to Jim Fazio for donating Wanda, our pumpkin turned jack-o-lantern, to EES! Wanda has brought so much joy to our school community this month!
As we move into November, we invite you to attend our Veterans Day Walk scheduled for Friday, November 6th at 8:45 and to our Board Game Night on Thursday, November 12th from 5:30-6:30. Thank you for all you do to support our school, students & staff!
In partnership,
Dillon

Picture Make-Up/Retake Day 11/5
Hayward Photography will be at Eastham Elementary School on Thursday, November 5th
for picture retakes. If you would like your childβs picture retaken, please return your original
package/no buy card (less the classroom group photo) to school on the retake day and ask your
child to give it to our photographer. Please include a note on the envelope detailing the reason
for the retake. If your child forgets their original pictures, they may still have a retake, however,
we will not print any new pictures until the originals have been returned to our office.
If your child was absent on the original picture day, they may be photographed as well. Please
print a copy of the order form that the school initially shared, fill out the bottom in its entirety
and send with your cash or check payment into school on retake day. Payments are only
accepted for students who were absent or are new to the school.
If you have any questions, please contact info@haywardphotography.com.
Apple Crunch Day
We celebrated "Apple Crunch Day" as part of Farm to School month! Students enjoyed biting into a locally sourced apple in unison. You can see more pictures on our live feed link.
Girls on the Run
Our Girls on the Run group participated in a practice 5k this week. Way to go girls!! They'll go to Boston on November 15th for their celebratory 5k.
