This week on Community Council we held our retreat where we planned for the upcoming year, had principal Dana Curran take us through a leadership activity, and formed committees. Our next meeting will be on Monday, September 29th from 3:00-3:45 in the Learning Commons.

High School Students! Sign up to be a "big buddy" and be read to by a "little buddy". A great program to serve your community.

The Book Buddies Literacy Program is designed to foster a love of reading among young children through a structured, engaging, and supportive read-aloud experience. The program pairs children in grades 1 through 4 with high school student mentors, known as “Big Buddies”.

Mummy Craft

Stop by the Teen Space and make a poseable mummy. Supplies will be out for this self-directed craft. October 1-31.

Erin & Megan presented to students and families regarding the College Admissions Process on Thurs. Sept. 25th. If you missed it, the slides can be viewed here. Our next evening presentation for senior families is the Financial Aid Night on Thurs. Oct. 16th at 6:30. Hope to see you there.

A congressional nomination is a pre-requisite to appointment at US Service Academies. The deadline to apply for a congressional nomination is upcoming (Friday, Oct. 3rd).

A pre-season meeting is scheduled for current and upcoming gymnasts on Thursday, October 23rd, from 6:15 to 6:30 at Gymnastics Village. Our normal practice will continue after the meeting, and any athlete that would like to stay for practice, please contact Gymnastics Village for details. We will go over the season and what to expect and what is expected.
