Message for the Week:
Message from Mr. Tejkl
Graduation and moving on or up...
Good morning!
I hope you had a very good weekend and that you were to enjoy some activities indoors with the rain and cooler temperatures around. More weather is on its way Monday it looks like so please make sure you have a plan just in case!
As graduation arrives, it is a time of celebration and reflection. As we look back through the school year, what stands out to you? What are the first impressions that come to your head? For me, it was a fast time that also showed my growth in my role as a superintendent. As I wrap up year three, I'm learning more about what my job all entails and how it affects many around me. From school family, to my family, it can be a time of great success or some lows. It is part of life but as we have said throughout the year, it is about how much you learn from those adverse times and what you do with those moments moving forward.
As we say good bye t our seniors, we have everyone else moving up a grade level and taking their next step closer to closing out their school career. Or you have those who just signed their letter of intent to start kindergarten and be a part of the class of 2037! The days go slow but the years go by fast. In a blink, it is over. It may feel like we have all the time in the world but it isn't the case.
What would you like your legacy to be at SRC? I encourage you to reflect and ask yourself what you want it to be (not just students and staff but parents as well). Your impact you leave is up to you and how you want it to be remembered through your actions and your words. Big responsibility but one that we can all embrace together. To the class of 2024, I thank you for all the memories and I am excited to see what you do for our world!
Have a great rest of your Sunday and I will see you tomorrow!
Quote of the week to reflect on:
""Carve your name on hearts, not tombstones. A legacy is etched into the minds of others and the stories they share about you."
Shannon L. Alder
Sincerely,
Tucker Tejkl
