Healthy Choices Spirit Week!

Healthy Choices Week provides a positive approach to helping students make healthy decisions for their minds and bodies. Rather than focusing primarily on substance use prevention, as Red Ribbon Week traditionally does, Healthy Choices Week encourages students to build healthy habits, practice positive decision making, strengthen friendships, care for their mental health, and make choices that support their overall well-being. The goal is to empower students with skills they can use throughout their lives!

Scholastic Book Fair October 21-23

Hello families! Get ready to find your next great read at the fall Scholastic Book Fair! Your book fair will be taking place in the library this week: Wednesday to Friday, 8 am - 4 pm. The book fair is a chance to boost students' love of reading while raising funds for our next literacy event. Preview the book fair online here, then join the fun in person!

Don't forget to set up an eWallet! An eWallet is an online payment system that you can set up in advance so you don't have to send cash to school. It's a secure, easy and hassle-free way to pay that supports your student's growing independence. Plus, you will also help out your child's classroom: we are having a competition to see which class can get the most eWallets set up by Friday! The winning class will be treated to a special reward during library time.

Each year, we have students who would like to buy their own book, but don't have their own money. If you would like to support our school goal of making sure every student can go home with a book in hand, click here to 'Share the Fair!'

Can't make it to this year's fair, but still want to support our school and/or get started on holiday gifts? You can also visit our online book shop!

Finally, we are still seeking a few more friendly faces to volunteer on Friday. Can you help? Click here if you're available to support reading in our school for an hour or two!

See you at the fair, and happy reading!
