Literacy Night 2025
Principal Update 2/3/25
Good Morning Memorial Families,
Happy February!
Please check your child's backpack this afternoon for their first progress report. Our hope is that it will provide you will more information about how your child is progressing with the grade level standards at the midpoint of the year. If your child has an IEP, progress reports will also be going home today. Please reread my newsletter from last Monday for a more throrough explanation of the descriptors, and see the resources below for more information.
A great thanks to Leah Hagen, our Reading Specialist, for organizing our first literacy night! We had a glow room, STEM reading, literacy games, and a visit from the Upton Library's children's librarian, Lee Ann Murphy. It was a fun and engaging night, and we hope that the families who attended enjoyed the opportunity.
As a reminder, we have an early release this Friday so that our staff can participate in professional development. Dismissal will begin at 12:00pm. Please be sure to make arrangements for your children for the afternoon.
Have a wonderful week!
Warmly,
Wendy
