🔆SPOTLIGHT🔆
🐾 BOBCATS Rise Early, Stay Strong🐾
The safety and well-being of our student-athletes remain our top priority. In response to the new UIL weather guidelines designed to reduce heat-related risks, our BOBCAT athletes have successfully transitioned to morning practices.
While the earlier start times require dedication and commitment, our student-athletes have embraced the change with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. By practicing during the cooler morning hours, they can continue building their skills, strength, and team chemistry in a safer environment.
We are incredibly proud of how our BOBCATS have adapted to this transition and remained focused on their goals. Their determination and resilience reflect the character of our athletic program and community.
As the season approaches, our athletes continue to work hard, prepare with purpose, and set the foundation for success. Thank you to our coaches, families, and supporters for helping make this adjustment a smooth one.
Go BOBCATS! We're excited to see what this season has in store. 🐾🏈💪
Bobcat Cheerleaders Showcase Community Pride
The Rio Hondo High School P-TECH Bobcat Cheerleaders recently had the honor of representing our school and community at Walmart Store #1296's Re-Grand Opening Celebration in San Benito on August 20, 2026.
Invited by Walmart leadership to participate in this special community event, our cheerleaders proudly welcomed guests, shared their enthusiasm, and showcased the spirit that makes Rio Hondo such a special place. Their participation highlighted the strong partnership between local businesses, schools, and community organizations.
Throughout the celebration, the Bobcat Cheerleaders demonstrated outstanding school pride, energy, and professionalism. Their presence brought excitement to the event while serving as excellent ambassadors for Rio Hondo High School P-TECH. By performing and engaging with community members, they exemplified the values of leadership, teamwork, and service that are at the heart of our cheerleading program.
We are incredibly proud of our cheerleaders for representing Rio Hondo with class and enthusiasm. Their willingness to support community events helps strengthen the connection between our school and the families and organizations that support our students.
Thank you to Walmart Store #1296 for including our Bobcat Cheerleaders in this memorable celebration and for recognizing the positive impact our students make throughout the community.
