Warrior Weekly

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in today's Kidz In Lidz campaign for the Children's Cancer Partners of the Carolinas. Our school donated $550 to this worthy cause. Thank you for making a difference in our community and showing that Warrior Pride!

Tuesday, September 23rd is SCHOOL PICTURE DAY! These photos will go in the yearbook, so dress your best! Please be sure that you do not wear green on that day. Students will take their pictures in front on a green screen so you can customize your background if you choose to order pictures online. More information on how to order pictures will be posted at a later date.

There will also be a School Improvement Council meeting on Tuesday at 6 :00 pm. We look forward to seeing you there!

Thursday, September 25th will be the Q1 school-wide TDW (writing assessment). This assessment mimics the SC Ready writing assessment students will take in May. Our purpose is to provide an opportunity for our students to practice completing all steps of the writing process under mock testing conditions to prepare them for the end of the year. This assessment also provides teachers with information on which components of the writing process need to be addressed in more depth to help our students become stronger writers. We will operate on a testing schedule Thursday.

We're coming up on the last two weeks of our school's chocolate fundraiser. Please encourage your children to turn in their money to Mr. Bonser as soon as possible so he can issue them a new box to sell. Thank you for supporting WMS and our Warriors!

Student health screenings will be conducted on Tuesday, September 30th. This will include hearing, vision, and dental screenings, along with height and weight assessment. If you do not want your child to participate, please let Nurse McDill know if you did not complete an opt out form at registration.
