A Message from Your Principal Team
Dear Washington Families,
Our school is buzzing with energy and excitement! Student smiles and enthusiasm fill our classrooms each day, and our dedicated teachers make learning engaging in a safe, supportive environment where every child can shine.
This week our all Washington students will participate in our winter PBIS Round-Up, where students will come together to review and practice our school-wide expectations. During this time, we’ll reinforce what it means to Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible in all areas of our school. These shared expectations help create a positive, welcoming learning environment where every student can succeed. Go Eagles! 🦅
With colder winter weather upon us, please help your child stay safe and comfortable by sending them to school dressed warmly. Labeling jackets, hats, and other outerwear with your child’s name is especially helpful, as many items look alike and this makes returning lost belongings much easier.
If your child is in need of a coat, hat, or other warm clothing, we are happy to help. Please contact our office at 971-983-3050 or reach out to our home-school contact, Amy Gutiérrez, at amy.gutierrez@woodburnsd.org
No matter the weather, we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve your children each day. Thank you for your continued partnership and for trusting us with their care and safety. đź’™
Warm regards,
Alfredo Belanger - Principal
Antonio Ramos - Asst. Principal

Family Newsletter
To make communication easier, our Smore newsletters has included an in-browser translation feature. Instead of sending two editions, English and Spanish, families can simply select their preferred language directly in the browser to view the newsletter in real time. We hope this makes staying connected even more convenient for everyone! If you have any question about anything on the newsletter please give our office a call.
As we return to our routines, we kindly ask for your attention and cooperation in following the directions of our staff at the front of the school. They are there to supervise and help your student arrive safely.
Drivers: Please pull all the way forward to the designated drop-off point before allowing your child to exit the car. Pulling forward helps keep traffic flowing and ensures safety for everyone.
Additionally, please follow the designated traffic patterns in our front car lanes. When entering the parking lot, use the east entry only. The west ramp is strictly for exiting.
By working together and following these guidelines, we can keep everyone—especially our students—safe during busy drop-off times. Thank you for your cooperation!
