New Library Strategic Plan
We want to thank everyone who provided input for our new strategic plan, whether you attended one of the planning sessions, filled out a survey, or just stopped by the circulation desk with some feedback. For the next five years, these goals will be at the forefront of our minds when we consider new materials, programs, policies, and of course our forthcoming expansion. Our three service goals are to:
- Serve as a Resource Hub.
- Encourage the Arts.
- Focus on Community Wellbeing.

Programs Coming Soon:
Adult Coloring Club and Story Time!
Are you an adult? Do you like to color? Are you interested in having a book read to you just like when you were in elementary school? If you answered yes to any of these questions, consider coming to adult coloring club and story time at the library!
On the fourth Thursdays of the month, beginning on January 22nd, at 6:30pm we will gather in the reading room. Coloring pages, colored pencils, and crayons will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer! While you color, Miss Beth will read aloud a chapter or two from a chapter book you probably remember from childhood (think Charlotte's Web, Wind in the Willows, etc.). She will even attempt to do different voices for different characters!
For an hour once a month, let yourself return to a simpler time in your life. When your biggest concern was which crayon to use and what was going to happen next in the story. No registration necessary, just come on by!
Start with Art
Join Miss Brandi on Tuesdays and Thursdays in January and February at 10am for a magical blend of stories, creativity, and hands-on art made just for our youngest artists. Each session features two thoughtfully chosen picture books - followed by a fun, process - based art project designed for our little hands and big imaginations.
From rainy day splashes to color-mixing adventures and imaginative creatures. Every session invites young artists to explore texture, movement, and their creativity.
Caregivers are an important part of the experience! Grownups are encouraged to sit, create, and explore alongside their child -helping with gluing, painting, and talking about their creations as they work.
There's no "right way" to make art; the focus is on trying, exploring, and having fun together.
Designed for ages 1-4. No registration required.
Mess friendly smocks available upon request
Come read, create, and make memories together where every story ends with a masterpiece!

Staff Picks
Question of the Month!
It's a new month, with a new opportunity to learn a little bit about our staff. Each month we ask the staff a question and post the response here in the newsletter. We'd love to hear your response to the question the next time you stop into the library! This month's question is: The winter months will likely keep us cooped up from now until March. What's your go to TV show or movie to cozy up and binge on a cold winter day?
Caitlin: "Great British Baking Show"
Julie: "If I've got a marathon day ahead of me, it's probably going to be Harry Potter."
Holly: "I don't tend to rewatch a lot of shows or movies, but on the rare occasion I do rewatch something it is usually either the Buffy the Vampire Slayer television show or the Lord of the Rings movies."
Emilly: "There are so many good ones. Game of Thrones, King of the Hill, and Stranger Things are all favorites.
Jessica: "I usually reach for an audiobook rather than a show or movie. But I also like a Harry Potter rewatch."
Beth: "I'd say my all time favorite is The West Wing, but I also love Call the Midwife, New Girl, and Gilmore Girls!"
Brandi: "During this time of year I tend to have Hallmark Christmas movies on repeat, but outside of that I love shows like Supernatural, Bones and Criminal Minds - anything with a little mystery or suspense."
Mary Lou: "I have a quirk: I rarely binge a show I really like because I like to "stretch" out watching the series over time if it is a really good show!! But I can recommend one I watched this year which was excellent. Eight episodes (wish there were a lot more, and hoping there will be a second season). It is called "North of North" (on Netflix). It is about a small Artic village in Canada. A young Inuk woman decides to reinvent herself in this small native village where cultural traditions clash with modern ways and everyone knows everyone else's business. It is a comedy but also very heartwarming."
