PSAT Registration
The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT® ) is offered to 10th and 11th grade students. The PSAT is designed to help prepare students for the SAT, college, and careers. Historically, students who take the PSAT/NMSQT score higher on the SAT, on average, than those who don’t take the test. Juniors who take the PSAT may enter the National Merit® Scholarship program and National Hispanic Recognition Program. Depending on high student scores, he/she may be recognized as a National Merit Commended Student, Semi-Finalist, Finalist, Scholar or National Hispanic Scholar. Several colleges may offer a scholarship if a student earns one of these recognitions. Students who are interested in taking this assessment can register by September 19th. The district will pay for the exam.
Students can submit this form using their RHS email account by 4pm on Friday, September 19th if you would like to take the PSAT assessment.
Go to https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/psat-nmsqt-psat-10/practice to learn more and take a practice test. You can also practice on Khan Academy.
