West Bloomfield High School DECA participated in homecoming week on September 18-22nd. The DECA Board created a banner and participated in the homecoming parade and pep assembly. On Friday evening, DECA students set up tables outside the football field to share information about our DECA program and business collaborations. WBHS DECA participated in family fun night on September 8th at the high school. The evening included fun activities followed by the Lakers football game against Stoney Creek. The evening provided an opportunity for the community to learn more about WBHS DECA, our sponsors and upcoming events. See more pictures from the evening here

This week, students enrolled in WBHS business courses were introduced to our 2023 optional DECA Fundraiser. Participating in the sales project allows students to practice what is learned in the classroom, including the sales process, the steps of a sale, social media skills, and accounting. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to reduce travel expenses for the DECA State Conference in Detroit this March and the International Conference in Anaheim, California, this coming April. Thank you to everyone who has generously donated. The fundraiser will continue until November 27th. Students have an opportunity to win cash prizes, free popcorn, and more.

West Bloomfield DECA is working with WBHS, and Morgan State alums Nick O'Shea to host the first annual House Divided event at the middle school on October 21st. Events and activities begin before our WBHS alumni (Donovan Edwards, Mikari Page, Semaj Morgan, Amir Herring, Tre Mosley, Dillon Tatum, and Payton Harvey) take the field in East Lansing to represent their University at the Michigan vs. Michigan State game.

West Bloomfield High School's business department and DECA are working with Stadium & Main this year. Students can participate in Market Research and work directly with talented University of Michigan athletes and alums. We thank Jamie Morris, Darryl Bingham, and Cabot Marks for working closely with our students.

We are looking forward to our upcoming events. Stadium & Main is a trusted group of dedicated alumni aiming to raise Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) funds and match opportunities for University of Michigan athletes.
