Looking For a Part-Time Long-Term Sub Music Teacher: Mondays & Thursdays

We are very fortunate to have hired Erin Eberhardt as a part-time long term substitute while Ms. Lafleur is on maternity leave. Kate Allen our building substitute is collaborating with Erin and is teaching Music on Mondays and Thursdays when she is not here. This does however mean that we are still seeking a talented Music educator to join us on a long-term substitute basis in a part-time capacity, from now through May 2024 on Mondays and Thursdays.

Requirements:

  • Current Vermont Teaching License

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the musical journey of our students. If you're ready to bring your musical expertise to a vibrant learning environment, please contact katiebarea@mpsvt.org.

February Kindness Club

Kindness Club at UES is a group that meets once a month on Wednesdays after school from 3-4pm in the school library. Our mission is to spread kindness throughout our school community, and beyond. We start each meeting with a light snack, and discussion, and spend the rest of our meeting time engaged in a kindness project. Learners sign-up for each individual meeting that they are able to attend.

Any student in 2nd-4th grade is welcome to attend. Sign Up Here for the February 21st meeting.

Everybody Wins! Raffle

The beautiful quilt donated by Toni Williams, Everybody Wins! coordinator in Claremont, was won by Lynn Hunsaker of St. Johnsbury, pictured with her mentee, Eleanor. Congratulations, Lynn! The quilt raffle raised over $1800 this year. With your help, we are excited to be opening new reading programs in Fairlee, West Fairlee/Vershire, and First Branch (Chelsea and Tunbridge). Because of your support, we just received 15 boxes of new books for book carts and to go directly to children in our programs, who receive 2 brand new books every year to take home and keep.
