While winter weather may cause disruptions to our upcoming school days, we are grateful for your patience and flexibility and look forward to welcoming students back into the building as soon as conditions allow. This newsletter contains several important updates and helpful links, and we appreciate you taking the time to read through the information. Thank you for your continued support and partnership with our school.

Students with a DAR
This is a reminder to parents of students with a DAR (Discretionary Admission Release)...
Please note that the DAR application window opens on February 15th. Because Infinite Campus automatically enrolls students in their zoned school for the upcoming year, it is essential that continued-placement DARs are processed promptly so those students are correctly attached to their current school in the system. The earlier these continued-placement DARs are completed, the smoother the transition will be.

Thank you students for showing GREAT interest in our D-N-D Club! We understand that finding a day afterschool with limited conflicts will be challenging. Please take a moment and fill out the following google form HERE to sign up for the club and vote on your best day to attend! We will do our best to find the day that best accommodates the most students.

February Book Challenge in the NBMS Library
We are excited to sponsor the "February Reading Challenge: Winter Olympics Edition" in our school media center. Every time a student finishes a book that completes one of this month's challenges, stop by the library, answer a question about your book, and get a prize!
If you complete 3 or more challenges by February 28, you will receive a bigger reward!
DC Trip Updates
All families making payments towards their child's DC have a payment due on February 2. If you are making 3 payments, your payment is $220. If you have been making monthly payments, your payment is $100. With no school on Monday, that payment will be due on Tuesday or the next day we are back in the building. This is the most important payment thus far as we will hold roommate sign ups on Tuesday for our boys and Wednesday for our girls. Students who are behind on their payments will not be able to sign up for the roommates of their choice until that payment comes in.
Roommate sign ups will be held on February 3 (boys) and 4 (girls). All students must have made all required payments in order to sign up for roommates. We will hold roommate sign ups on Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:30-7:50 in the Media Center. Your child will come in their group of 4 and sign up. Once they sign up, changes will not be made so please encourage them to choose wisely. Students who do not sign up on Tuesday or Wednesday will gather on Thursday morning to do this.
If you have questions about your child's payment, please reach out to their HR teacher. Other questions about the trip, email Coach Brown.
