Week of April 7-11
Hello Barrett Families!
In our World of Wonders curriculum, students are on Unit 7 - Animals. Attached are some great ideas regarding how you can engage your child with what they are learning about in school! Our focus letters are Xx, Vv, Jj, Qq. Students will be learning about different types of animals! For Character Strong, students are focusing on Courage for the month of April! Please talk to your child about what it means to be courageous!
As a reminder, we have Parent Teacher Conferences coming up on April 10th and 11th, so the afternoon sessions are cancelled on those days!
Please check your child's backpack daily! There are many backpacks that have not been checked for months. There are important papers, projects, etc. that are inside of your child's folder that need to be emptied daily. Thank you!
Our Papa Gino's Fundraiser is on Thursday, April 10th from 11:00-8:00! 20% of all proceeds from dine in or take out will go directly to the Barrett Russell!! You can also order online!!
IMPORTANT FROM THE NURSE:
If your child needs pain/fever medication in the morning, he/she cannot attend school that day! Your child must be fever free/diarrhea free for a minimum of 24 hours without medication! This is school/district policy and will not be compromised. We want to ensure that we keep our staff and students healthy. Thank you for your cooperation.
