Upon requesting your college course, please complete the Concurrent Enrollment Survey which alerts your School Counselor that you have a college request waiting to be reviewed.

Concurrent/Dual Enrollment Survey Submission Deadlines

Spring Semester Deadline is Tuesday, 12/15/26
Summer/Fall Deadline is the last day of school, 6/3/27

Keep in mind: School Counselors have 3 days to approve a request, and Community Colleges might take up to 5 days to process before/after the request was submitted.

Online college requests don't immediately appear for your School Counselor to approve. It can take a few days to show up on our end. Please plan accordingly.
Continue to check your college email and dashboard for missing/pending items which could be holding up your request from getting to your School Counselor.
Thank you for completing the Concurrent/Dual Enrollment Survey, so the School Counselors can proceed with approving your request. Without it, the request will be delayed.

Key Points

College course approvals are for 3 units or higher
No late start or early end courses are allowed. College courses need to match Heartland's semester dates.
Watch for college's drop and W deadline if you are struggling to avoid a D or F on your college transcript
High school students are exempt from paying enrollment fees, however student is responsible for other fees such as health fee and student government fee. Some colleges offer a waiver for each. Waivers can be found by searching the college's website.

BC students will automatically be charged the BCSGA $15 fee in spring and fall. Any student can appeal this. An appeal is only considered in the current semester within the first 2 weeks.

504 / IEP

If you have a 504 or IEP, it is the student's responsibility to contact the DSPS (Disabled Students Programs and Services) at the college and to submit your documentation if you wish to have the 504 or IEP recognized by the college.

Request Official College Transcript Every Semester

An OFFICIAL college transcript needs to be sent at the conclusion of every semester college course(s) is completed. Student/Family is responsible for the cost of ordering each transcript.

***When ordering your transcript, please check if your final grade has been posted in your college dashboard. If it hasn't, then please select "wait to send transcript until grade is posted." Otherwise, if Heartland receives a transcript with an "in progress" grade, then you will need to re-order the transcript to be sent to Heartland with the final grade. Please double check before ordering.***
