AVA Family Update

There is a half-day for students next Friday, and the schedule for next week is pictured below.

Trimester two wraps up next Friday. We will accept work for all classes until Wednesday, March 15. For courses running first and second trimester, as well as second trimester only courses, this is your last chance to get work in. We will post grades according to the schedule below.

As trimester 3 begins on March 20, many of you will see new courses added to Edgenuity. They will all show a start date of March 20 and run through the rest of the year.

Grades 9-12 - Jobs

Summer positions are beginning to open up, especially at local YMCAs for lifeguards, camp counselors, and youth instructors in Art and Sports. Check out the School-to-Career Student Job Board or email Ms Marshall at kmarshall@attleboroschools.com for more information.

MCAS Testing season is upon us, with English testing happening this month, Math in May, and Science in June. For any students and families looking for free study materials, here is once again links to MCAS practice exams:

Juniors
AVA Guidance will begin conducting Junior Interviews in the coming weeks with the Class of 2024 about where they stand in graduation progress, GPA, and future planning. To help juniors and families prepare, consult this junior-senior timeline sheet and the junior interview form.

Seniors
The Googledrive folder with Attleboro High School scholarships is now available. All deadlines are April 1st unless otherwise written in the file name. Please feel free to browse through all options, as many are specific to having played a sport and such. The most generalized scholarships I recommend that ALL AVA seniors can apply for are:

· ASF General Scholarship

· Blue Pride Ambassadors Club Scholarship

· Nick Vero Memorial Scholarship

· Rebeckha Whitefield Memorial Scholarship

· Curtis Stanley Gallup Scholarship
