From the AGIS Team!
Dear AGIS Families,
It was a great first week of school! Our classrooms were filled with energy, smiles, and the excitement of new beginnings as students settled into their routines and reconnected with friends. As we launch into the year, our primary goals are to get to know your student and build positive relationships to provide the best learning experience ever! Thank you for your support in making the transition back so smooth—we look forward to a fantastic year ahead together.

What is Title I?
Title I is a federally funded supplemental education program designed to support schools in improving educational opportunities for students. At AGIS, we are expanding our programming to include all students schoolwide in grades 2-5. Throughout the school year, we will be providing you with important information about this law and your child's education. Please see the letters below for more information about Title I and how it supports our school.
The letter below lets you know about your right to request information about the qualifications of the classroom staff working with your child.
Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports - PBIS
As we wrap up our first week, our focus has been on setting every student up for success through PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports). Throughout these first few days, students have been learning and practicing our core school-wide expectations—Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible—in classrooms, hallways, and during lunch. You can support this at home by asking your child about the positive behaviors they practiced this week and how they earned recognition from their teachers. Together, by focusing on encouraging positive choices and building clear routines, we can make this a supportive and rewarding year for your child!
From our Nurses: BMI Height/Weight Screening
As part of Avon Grove School District’s school health services, students are scheduled to participate in an annual height and weight screening. All screenings will be conducted by authorized school nurses or other health care practitioners, with student privacy and confidentiality prioritized throughout the process.
