From the Principal
Dear Webb Families,
“No school can work well for children if parents and teachers do not act in partnership on behalf of the children's best interests.” - Dorothy Cohen
This week your family will have the opportunity to speak with your child’s classroom teacher(s) during Family/School conferences on Thursday. All teachers will have opportunities for you to come in for afternoon or evening appointments. This is a great opportunity to check in with your child’s teacher to see how they are progressing or ask questions that you might have. We hope you take advantage of this time. It is important to not only discuss your child’s progress but also to build those relationships between the school and home. It always helps when we are all on the same page. All special subjects, MTSS and support staff are also available to meet with you if you would like. You can always call the school office if you haven’t received any information about conferences or if you would like to request one. We hope we get to see all of our families at conferences this week at Webb.
Sincerely,
Corri Nastasi

School Survey
Webb families - please take a moment to take this very important survey below. Your feedback is appreciated. It helps us to make important decisions about our school.
Important Information
Family/School Conferences
The Webb staff will be hosting Family/School Conferences on Thursday, October 22nd from 12:30-3:00PM and 5:30-7:00PM. Your child’s teacher should have sent home information regarding signing up for a time slot for these meetings. It is very important that families attend these events to learn about their child’s progress.
IRIPs and Testing Information
Unity Day
Picture Re-take
If your child was not able to be at school for pictures, our retake day is scheduled for November 19.
Trunk or Treat
The PTA will again have a Trunk or Treat at Webb. It will be on Thursday, October 29th from 5:30-6:30PM. Cars that will be using their trunk to pass out treats can arrive between 4:30 and 5:15. Please do not arrive later than 5:15 if you plan to pass out treats from your trunk. The Webb parking lot will probably not be able to support the trunk or treat and parking for all, so you may need to park on the streets across from Webb or possibly the church next door or park behind the school. We will also have some Halloween activities/games and concessions where you can get a slice of pizza or a can of pop for $1. Hope to see all of our Webb families there!
Halloween Parade
Friday, October 30, will be a half day for our students. That day we will celebrate Halloween with our students and all students will be able to wear costumes to school (no blood, weapons, or scary masks). There will be a Halloween parade at 10:30AM for all of our parents/family members that want to attend. Our first choice is to parade outside around the small playground. If the weather is bad, we will invite family members into the gym and parade around the gym. Hope to see you there!
Shoe Drive
We are excited to announce that Edison Career Center is hosting a shoe drive fundraiser! This is an easy way to clear out your closets while supporting our school.
How It Works
Simply gather any shoes you no longer need and drop them into the designated shoe collection boxes at any of our participating schools.
Drop-Off Locations
You can drop your donations into the shoe boxes located at these schools:
- HPJH (Hazel Park Junior High)
- Webb
- United Oaks
- Jardon
- HPHS (Hazel Park Highschool)
- Edison
What Kinds of Shoes Are Accepted?
We accept any and all types of shoes in any condition. Examples include:
- Everyday wear: Sneakers, casual shoes, and slippers.
- Specialty footwear: Dress shoes, high heels, boots, and work shoes.
- Kid & Teen gear: Shoes your children have outgrew or styles your teenager refuses to wear.
- Older items: Shoes that are out of style, well-worn, or dirty.
YMCA SportPort
Our next YMCA after school event will be this Thursday, November 5. Please keep in mind that we host this club about twice a month unlike all of our other clubs, it is open for registration each time, so you must sign your child up each and every time you want them to attend.
Weekly Bagel Sale
We sell bagels weekly on Wednesdays at Webb.
