The Fruit Scoop!
October 2025
Message from Mr. Fournier
I hope everyone has enjoyed a great start to the school year. The 1st quarter will be ending on Friday, October 31 and reports cards will be sent home for grades 1-3 on Thursday, November 6th. Pre-K and Kindergarten will receive reports cards in January and June.
It is important for all families to note that we do not wear costumes to school on Halloween.
Please save the costumes for home, including the accessories for costumes, for your Halloween evening festivities. Some costumes can be frightening to other students, distracting during the school day, and we don't want any part of the costume getting ripper or ruined before the big night.
Thank you for your cooperation.

PEAK Night
During the book fair, the Fruit Street School hosted the 1st PEAK (Parent and Educators Accelerating Kids) Night with the focus on reading at home. Mrs. Schall, Literacy Coach, spoke with families on the importance of reading at home. She provided supports on how students and families can make reading at home special for everyone.
Author Visit
The Pre K, K and 1st grade students at Fruit St. enjoyed a visit from Jessica Libby and her husband from the Bangor Police Department, Officer Libby, and the K-9 police dog Jesi. The students enjoyed listening to Jessica read her story, The Adventures of K-9 Jesi: Jessi's First Day of School. The story was inspired by Officer Libby's real-life K-9 dog, Jesi. The students loved hearing about the role of Jesi and how she and Officer Libby keep the Bangor community safe.
Community School - Storybook STEM
Mrs. Fleming's community school program, Storybook STEM, used the book, Five Little Pumpkins. The students built fences to see how many pumpkins would balance on their fence.
