We had a wonderful 1K Fun Run on Thursday! Many thanks to Coach P for organizing the event and to the Kenwood PTA and all caregiver volunteers for cheering on the Woodchucks, serving water and snacks, passing out ribbons, and celebrating our fantastic school community. It was a perfect event!

After a small pilot last spring, Kenwood School Bike Bus is rolling again this fall - and it’s growing! On Bike and Walk to School Day we had our largest group of riders yet with 19 Kenwood students and 13 adults. We now have a group starting from the Lowry Hill neighborhood in addition to the original meet-up spot at Bryant Square Park. Our two groups join together at the south end of Lake of the Isles and bike the rest of the way to school together. There are other potential meet-up spots along the route, as well. Perennial Bike Shop on Hennepin has joined as a community sponsor and several of their staff members have joined some recent rides for additional ride support for the bike bus. All Kenwood students and families welcome! Rides are on Friday mornings and other select dates. T-shirts available for all participants. Text or email Jane Harris for more info (se habla espanol): janebush@gmail.com 206-604-7495.
