Interpretive Dance in Biology!

Biology students have embarked on a unit learning about the cell cycle and what specifically goes awry when someone develops cancer. To introduce this unit, students first learned about the stages of the cell cycle and how each part of the cell responds when cells divide. They then had the opportunity to choreograph and narrate their own interpretive dance highlighting the main parts of the cell cycle. Each group brought their own unique take to the dances and we all learned more from both creating our dances and watching our classmates dances.

Community Meeting - Skill Share

Students learned a new skill from their peers during our community meeting. This included story writing with Neelah, ASL with Kai/Adelaide/Sage, Drawing with Allison, Maps with Kobi, Calligraphy with Miyuki, photography with Oliver, sewing with Asa, gift wrapping with Sadie, and Juggling with Mimi. This was a great opportunity for students to showcase their talents, learn from one another, and strengthen our sense of community. Thanks Sara P for organizing this event.
