HMS Invites Veterans to Assembly Nov. 6
Harrisonville Middle School is inviting all local veterans to be honored guests at the annual Veterans Day Assembly.
The event is set for Friday, Nov. 6, at 9:00 a.m. in the middle school gym. The assembly is a special opportunity for students and the community to recognize the service of military members.
The program will include a special recognition ceremony for all branches of the military and attending veterans. Performances will be given by the Wildcat Chorale and HMS Band.
Harrisonville High School to present Ride the Cyclone
Harrisonville High School will present its upcoming musical production, "Ride the Cyclone," Nov. 12-14 and 20-21 at 7 p.m. in the HHS Performing Arts Center.
Ride the Cyclone (Teen Edition) is a musical by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell. In this hilarious and outlandish story, the lives of six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir are cut short in a freak accident aboard a roller coaster. They then awake in limbo with the chance to return to life.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students, staff, and senior citizens, and $5 for HHS Theatre alumni. Tickets can be purchased online at https://cur8.com/20496/project/141478.

Adopted families will be asked to give two ideas in the following categories: Something You Want, Something You Need, Something to Wear, Something to Read & Something to Eat. Adopters will be asked to provide a minimum of one item from each category (within reason).
If you are interested in adopting a family, please email Paige Welhoff at paige.welhoff@harrisonvilleschools.org or call 380-2727, ext. 1221 and indicate the family size you would like to adopt (small: 1-2 children, medium: 3-4 children, large: 5 or more children) by November 6.
Adopters will receive the family’s wish list by Thanksgiving and will be asked to deliver the presents to the Nazarene Church on December 13.
