Christie Elementary
đź“’ A Note From Ms. Wilson
Dear Dan Christie Elementary Families,
As we head into a well-deserved long holiday weekend, we want to take a moment to celebrate the wonderful start to our school year!
This week, our students participated in their first mini assembly — and they did an outstanding job! Their respectful behavior, enthusiasm, and school spirit were truly impressive. It was a joy to see them come together as a school community, supporting one another and engaging with such positivity.
We’re so proud of the way our students are already demonstrating leadership, kindness, and a commitment to learning. They’ve set a strong tone for the year ahead!
Wishing you and your family a restful and joyful holiday weekend.
Mrs. Wilson

UIL
We are VERY excited about our students having the opportunity to participate in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) A+ Academics Competition.
Students who are interested in learning about, practicing, and competing in these events will receive information via google classroom to prep for the events at home. In the fall we will have a Campus meet based upon what you have learned from what we shared. The 10 students in each grade level in each event scoring the highest will advance to the Competition Team.
This group will attend weekly practices, beginning in December. At the end of January, the top four (4) students in each event, in each grade level will advance to the zone meet in February.
Following the Zone UIL meet, the top six (6) students in each event, in each grade level will advance to the District meet on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
You will be able to indicate areas of interest for your student. Please keep in mind that there may be conflicts with practice and/or competition times, and it may not be possible to participate in multiple events.
STUDENTS CANNOT PARTICIPATE IN BOTH:
Social Studies and Oral Reading
Modern Oratory and Spelling
Impromptu Speaking and Chess Puzzle

Become a Mentor. Change a Life. - Join the Prosper ISD Mentorship Program
Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? The Prosper ISD Mentorship Program offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact in the life of a student—one conversation, one connection at a time.
We’re looking for caring, committed adults to serve as mentors to Prosper ISD students. You don’t need to be a counselor or expert—just someone willing to listen, encourage, and show up consistently. Mentors meet with students on campus during the school day in a structured, supportive environment.

Volunteer mentors will:
âś” Meet with students monthly, during the school day, for 30 minutes
âś” Build positive relationships rooted in trust and respect
âś” Serve as role models and champions for student success
âś” Help students develop confidence, character, and connection
Your presence could be the difference that helps a student thrive.
