Principal's Note
As the flowers bloom and the days grow longer, we find ourselves in the final stretch of another incredible school year. Spring is a season of growth and celebration—a perfect time to reflect on our students' achievements and look ahead to the exciting opportunities still to come this year
As we prepare for the final quarter of the year, I remind our students to stay focused and finish strong!
Thank you for your continued support in making our school a nurturing and vibrant place of learning. I look forward to celebrating our students’ accomplishments and finishing the year on a high note!
Have an amazing spring!
Brad Gefvert
Attendance Matters
Thank you for your hard work having your child to school on time every day! Students that are here and on time greater than 95% have a much higher level of success now and in the future! Keep up the good work. This month we had over 250 Lincoln students here over 95% of days in March.
Related Arts Feature of the Month: Music
In music class we are practicing hard for Fine Arts Night which is coming up on April 29th from 5:30-7. More details to follow regarding performance times for each grade level. The theme this year is Ocean Exploration! All of our songs are about the ocean, creatures from the deep, and other water related activities. 3rd-5th grade students are also excited about working with our guest artist throughout April. Kiran Vedula is an Indian-American Composer, Producer, and Educator based in Milwaukee, WI. “Good News” was inspired after the deep depression that came from the COVID lockdown and our dependence on Social Media. “Good News” aims to show students other ways of expressing themselves other than the comparison and highlight culture that is social media. Students will have the opportunity to work with Kiran, learn his composing process, and help develop a performance to be shared at Fine Arts Night. March was Music In Our Schools Month! Students had fun doing listening journals and playing games, including “Guess the Teacher”. Staff submitted photos and explanations of how music has impacted their life and the students got to guess which teacher went with each description. The final product can be found on the Lincoln Family Teacher Partnership (FTP) Facebook page and your student’s Music “Rooms” page. We also took time to discuss what our favorite thing about music is, why music is important to us, and being grateful that we have opportunities to engage in music during the school day!
Classroom Spotlight: 4 Year Old Kindergarten
We have been having a fantastic time in 4K this year! Working together, helping each other, staying active, developing fine motor skills, and learning about the world have been a lot of fun for the past few months. Our 4K program is Early Childhood-inclusive, which means that throughout the week, Early Childhood students are part of our class. We all learn alongside one another as we find new ways to communicate and help each other. Lately, both the morning and afternoon classes have really enjoyed going on scavenger hunts throughout the school. These kids are wonderful and we are so lucky that they will be Lincoln Pandas for a long time to come!
7 Mindsets
The Time Is Now
The Time is Now Mindset is about getting involved in life and making the most of each day. It encourages students to live in the present and take action toward their goals. Instead of waiting for the "perfect time," it shows that small steps today can lead to big achievements over time.
Pupil Services Corner
Internet safety is crucial for students and their families. Children are still learning how to navigate the online world and do not fully understand the risks involved. Without proper guidance, they can easily encounter harmful content, cyberbullying, or dangerous individuals.
By fostering open communication and monitoring online activity, parents can help their children build healthy digital habits, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable online experience for the entire family.
For more information and resources on internet safety please visit the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's Online Safety Resources page:
