Cadet Connection
A Message From Mr. Hansel and Mrs.Crone
Cadet Nation,
What an incredible day representing Cascade! Our seniors participated in the Polar Plunge and it was a huge success. Not only did they brave the cold, but they also raised over $6,000 for a great cause supporting Special Olympics. We are incredibly proud of their leadership, generosity, and willingness to make a difference. Thank you to everyone who donated and supported our students!
We also want to wish our Cascade Boys Basketball team the best of luck tonight as they begin sectional play. Let’s show up and support the Cadets as they compete for a sectional title!
As we look ahead, Spring Break is just two weeks away and it is well deserved. Until then, let’s keep pushing, stay focused, and finish this stretch strong.
Show Up & Show Out, Cadets! 💙🏀❄️

🥶💙 Polar Plunge Success! 💙🥶 Today’s Polar Plunge was a huge success and a lot of fun! Our Cascade seniors braved the cold and showed up for an incredible cause, raising over $6,000 to support Special Olympics. We are so proud of our seniors for stepping up, making a difference, and representing what it means to be a Cadet. Their generosity and willingness to jump into freezing water for others truly shows the heart of our school community. Thank you to everyone who donated, supported, and cheered them on. A big thank you to CJ’s Pizza for hosting our large group for lunch on a busy Friday afternoon. We appreciate your hospitality! 🍕 Once a Cadet, always a Cadet! 💙❄️
Cascade THRIVE took full advantage of the Career Day on March 5th. We visited Cox's plant farm, Plainfield Aquatic/Recreation, and a job fair at WorkOne in Plainfield. The students were armed with questions, resumes, and notes pages. The staff watched our students step up and conquer situations that used to intimidate them.
They asked about shifts, training, job duties, and expectations of an employee--without prompting. They spoke clearly, listened, engaged with strangers, talked with peers about info learned, and advocated for themselves. Career Explore Day = CONFIDENCE Unlocked. The staff was overwhelmed with pride, joy, and some tears.
This is why we THRIVE

Policies and Handbook
As we continue our journey towards a successful school year, we want to remind you of some important policies that help ensure a positive and focused learning environment for everyone. These expectations are in place not only for your success at Cascade but to prepare you for success beyond our doors.
-
Cell Phones: Please remember that cell phones are not allowed during class time. They should be turned off or silenced and kept in your locker or bag during instructional periods. We want to ensure your full attention is on your learning and the classroom environment.
-
Backpacks: For safety and organizational purposes, backpacks are not permitted in classrooms. Please store them in your locker at the beginning of each day.
Food Delivery: We do not allow food deliveries, including services like DoorDash, to be delivered to the school. Please make arrangements to bring food from home or purchase from the school cafeteria.
-
Vape Policy: Cascade High School maintains a strict no-vaping policy. Vaping is prohibited on school grounds and at school events. Violations of this policy will result in disciplinary actions.
-
Addiction Support: If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, please remember that we partner with the Willow Center to offer confidential support and resources. Don’t hesitate to reach out for help.
-
Punctuality and Respect: It is expected that all students are on time for each class and show respect towards their peers, teachers, and all staff members. Respecting each other creates a positive learning environment for everyone.
At Cascade, our goal is to equip you with the skills and values necessary for success. We believe in your potential and expect you to meet these standards to help you grow into responsible and successful young adults.
