SVDP Mission Statement

Saint Vincent de Paul School, inspired by its Catholic legacy, provides an educational environment where students take risks and challenge assumptions by embracing opportunities, learning to think innovatively, and growing courageously in relationship with Christ.

Dear SVDP Community,

We hope that everyone had a fun and not-too-spooky Halloween. On Monday our students donated 463 pounds of candy to Family House.

Today was a lovely mass, where we honored Sister Frances for her service to Saint Vincent de Paul School. Sister Frances was the last Daughter of Charity principal at SVDP, and she just celebrated her 90th birthday!

See you all on Thursday, November 13th for VAPAfest!

Honoring a Legend! Honoring a Legend!

We pray in thanksgiving for the dedication of the Daughters of Charity, a community of religious sisters who devote their lives to serving the poor and abandoned in today's society. These sisters consecrate their lives to God and minister daily in parishes, schools, healthcare, prisons, social agencies, and missions in the US, Canada, South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia.

They are the Sisters who founded Saint Vincent de Paul School in 1924 and served as teachers and principals until 1968. We are grateful to them and we celebrate them. May they and their work be blessed by God.

On her 90th birthday and in recognition, admiration, and gratitude to her for her years of service at Saint Vincent de Paul School as teacher and Principal, we pray for Sister Francis Meyer.
