A very special thank you to JSC Library Media Specialist, Miss Moore, for directing and producing The Morning Splash! (The Morning Splash was named by 2nd grade student, Lillian Humphrey!)

Picture Make-Ups and Retakes will take place at JSC on October 12th!

The Weekender Backpack Program (in partnership with Helping Harvest Food Bank) at JSC will begin next Friday, October 6th, for all students registered. For more information / to sign up for the Weekender Backpack Program, please scroll down to the JSC Resource section at the bottom of this newsletter.

PTO Mums will be distributed tomorrow (Saturday, September 30th), from 1PM to 4PM, at the JSC Bus Circle The bus circle is located across the street from Rita's Italian Ice on Mount Hope Avenue.

Kindergarten students will be taking a field trip to Schwartz Farms on October 5th or October 6th. (Please reach out to your child's teacher with any questions.) All students will be receiving a special JSC T-shirt to wear to the field trip!

We are very excited to announce that students in all grade levels will be receiving a t-shirt to wear on their field trip this school year! T-shirts are being sponsored by CACL, Hydro, and JSC PTO! A very special shout-out and thank you to local businesses CACL and Hydro, for their generous donations, and JSC Cafeteria Worker and PTO member, Mrs. Danielle Boris, for the great idea and fundraising effort! As always, we thank JSC PTO for all they do to support our students!

(Grade levels will receive their t-shirts at the time of their field trip.)

Congratulations to 2nd grade student Joseph Mennig, for demonstrating what it means to be a good citizen! Joey is a student in Mrs. Dillow's classroom, where they recently learned about citizenship, and what it means to be a good citizen. Joey decided to put learning into action, when he donated supplies to the Hillside SPCA. #ctidepride in action!

At JSC Elementary Center, attendance matters! In honor of demonstrating the importance of school attendance, each classroom had a special "3-minute Dance Party with Principal Lubinsky!" Each month, there will be a random "attendance matters" celebration. When will the next fun event happen? Stay tuned to find out!

Did you know that JSC Principal, Ms. Lubinsky, JSC Assistant Principal, Mr. Sabol, and JSC Special Education Supervisor, Mrs. Julie Saunders, take the bus? Each week, they take a ride with our students, to reinforce our Tide Pride rules and bus safety! Roll Tide!

Students who ride D1 Dinosaur were "all smiles" when Ms. Lubinsky joined them for a bus ride! (Don't worry - The bus was at a complete stop when this photo was taken!)
