News from Ms. Ricks, Principal News from Ms. Ricks, Principal

Dear Wolman Families,

Happy Fall Explorer Families! We officially entered a new season this week, and hopefully some cooler weather will soon follow! It has been another fantastic week of learning at Wolman Elementary. It is wonderful to see our classroom communities continuing to grow stronger and our Explorers making progress each day, both academically and behaviorally. We are so proud of the way our students are settling into routines, building relationships, and growing as learners.

It’s Book Fair time! This is always such a fun event that our students look forward to each year. We hope you will join in the Book Fair fun and perhaps add a few great new titles to your home library. Every opportunity to put books into the hands of our students helps encourage their love of reading!

We are also looking forward to our Game Night with the Grands next week! This is sure to be a fun evening filled with games, laughter, and special memories with our Explorers and their grandparents or special guests.

There are lots of wonderful events and activities coming up! Please take some time to carefully review the sections below for important campus and district information, PTA news, and details about upcoming events. Thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership. We appreciate our Wolman families and all you do to support our Explorers!

Lunch is a fun, social time of day for our Explorers! Any parents who wish you attend lunch may use the link above to sign up. As a reminder only parents/guardians, non-school aged children and immediate family listed on the lunch visitor permission form are able to visit for lunch. Due to limited space, visitors are limited to 2 visitors per student (non school age children are counted as visitors). Each parent must sign up for their own seat and a separate seat for any non school age siblings.

Here are some reminders for when lunch visits begin...PLEASE REMEMBER when signing up to include your child's name and teacher in the comments. All visitors must show a physical, hard copy government issued ID (driver's license or passport) when you arrive for lunch. We ask that each student be limited to having a lunch visit one day per week to allow all Explorers the opportunity to have a lunch visit. If you are not able to come to lunch after you signed up, please remove your name from the list. Also, please be aware that a few minutes prior to your child's lunch time ending, the monitors will direct your child to join his/her class; this helps with making our cafeteria exit procedures run more smoothly. The following steps will guide you in signing up for lunch times to visit your child and with providing lunch visitor permission. Please call 281 234 1700 with any questions. Thank you!

Step 1:

Please sign up for date/time of lunch visit here: Link

If needed...

Step 2:

For immediate family visitors (limited to grandparents, non-school aged siblings, and stepparents) who are NOT the parents/guardians the online Lunch Visitor form must be filled out by the parent/guardian BEFORE the lunch visit. Link
