Barron Pioneer Families 2025-26

PRINCIPAL'S CORNER-WELCOME BACK PIONEERS!
Dear Barron Families,
Keeping Focus on Student Growth at Barron Elementary!
Congratulations on completing Week 3 of school! Your partnership and support are vital as we deliver high-quality Tier 1 instruction every minute of the day, guided by the RLA, Math, Science, and Social Studies frameworks. Our daily focus on oral language skills for editing and revising, writing development, and building student writing portfolios from K-5th grade will clearly showcase student growth and mastery throughout the year.
As we continue this journey, our goals include:
- Ensuring every student achieves at least one year of academic growth by year’s end.
- Strategically using WIN time to provide targeted enrichment, Tier 2, and Tier 3 interventions, with particular attention to HB1416 hours for our 4th and 5th graders.
- Regularly monitoring and analyzing student data to personalize instruction and supports.
We have completed BOY Growth Maps testing. Starting September 1st, interventionists will work with students scoring in the 29th percentile and below to administer a second diagnostic. This will help us gather important data to better tailor interventions. Additionally, PK3 and PK4 assessments will begin in September. We ask that families help ensure students are prepared and that assessment environments remain safe and organized for the best possible outcomes. NWEA Maps BOY results will be shared with families during parent/teacher conferences on September 16th from 1 pm to 6 pm.
Our instructional coaches and administration are dedicated to supporting every Pioneer’s learning experience. Together, we foster a culture of “1° of change”—small, consistent efforts that create meaningful impact. Through grade-level meetings, PLCs, committees, family engagement, and daily interactions, we build strong relationships and a campus where every Pioneer truly learns and belongs.
As we move into Week 4, we continue to focus on safe, supportive learning environments and the importance of asking for and offering support. We appreciate the powerful role we all play in shaping the futures of our students every day.
Enjoy the upcoming 3-day weekend—a well-deserved time to rest, reflect, and recharge with your loved ones.
Thank you for being an essential part of the Barron family, where Pioneers learn and belong!🔥°💯💙°
At Barron, we proudly live our vision: BES is the school where every pioneer learns and belongs! Our mission is to educate with excellence, empower every student to reach their full potential, and inspire our families to collaborate in every child's success. 🔥°💯💙°

"It starts with US!"

"I want to begin this week by recognizing the incredible hard work and dedication of our students, families, teachers, and staff. Together, we are making a difference, and this week’s Leadership by Design meeting reminded us just how powerful our collective commitment can be. On Thursday, principals and district leaders came together for our Leadership by Design event. We discussed and celebrated our “B” accountability rating from the Texas Education Agency, and we focused on charting the course toward our next goal: earning an “A.” Through collaboration, innovation, and student-centered leadership, we are determined to reach even greater heights for every child in El Paso ISD."
