AAK Giving Day is Monday, December 16th.

We have several opportunities for students to learn about giving:

We have paired with Toys for Tots and Salvation Army to collect NEW, unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots program, new or gently used clothing and non perishable food items for Salvation Army for the next few weeks. Grade levels are competing to see which can collect the most items. The winning grade will get a visit from Santa in January to celebrate. Our PreK and 5th grade classes have teamed up since there is only one of each of those classes. On Giving Day, students will sort and count everything collected and get it ready for pick up.

We are also hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive from noon - 5pm on Giving Day. Please see the attachments below to sign up for a time to donate! Our fifth grade students are running a store to learn about commerce and make money for their Eco Week trip in the spring. The store is open for shopping on Fridays at lunchtime only. Students must be finished eating before they can shop.

If your student is going to be absent for an appointment, vacation, or is ill, please call to let us know, or use the form linked below to excuse their absence.

Your student must be free of fever, vomiting, and/or diarrhea for 24 hours without medication before returning to school, i.e. if they have symptoms today, they will need to remain home tomorrow.

If your student has a runny nose, cough, sore throat, etc. (without fever, vomiting, and/or diarrhea) they must stay home until they only have one symptom left and it is improving.
