Principal's Corner
Dear Cielo Vista Families,
Thank you to everyone who generously contributed their time and donations, and to those who joined us for our Grandparents’ Breakfast. The event was a wonderful success thanks to your support!
As we look ahead, Parent-Teacher Conferences are just around the corner. We encourage you to make time to attend these important meetings to support your child’s progress.
As we continue through the school year, this is a friendly reminder to please observe all school zone speed limits and avoid stopping or standing in restricted areas around campus. We also kindly ask that you use the designated entrances and exits when entering or exiting the parking lot.
Most importantly, let’s continue showing kindness, patience, and respect to one another. By working together, we can ensure a safe, welcoming, and smooth environment for all—and help our little Bobcats continue to thrive!
Warm regards,
Maria Guerra
Principal, Cielo Vista Elementary

Identification Requirement for Adults
Anyone entering the building must show an identification at the front door to gain admittance. Please ring the doorbell and hold your ID (e.g., driver's license, state ID, passport) in the front of the camera. The clerk will then verify your ID before unlocking the door for you. As you come in, please walk straight to the office to be signed in. We thank you for your cooperation on our safety procedures to help maintain our campus safe.
Assistant Principal Corner
Hello Cielo Vista Community,
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and share how excited I am to be joining Cielo Vista as the new Assistant Principal. With 16 years of experience in education, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a special education teacher, general education teacher, and instructional coach. Each of these roles has fueled my passion for supporting student success and creating positive, inclusive learning environments.
I am truly honored to join the Bobcat family and look forward to partnering with students, staff, and families to make this an amazing year of growth and achievement. My door is always open, and I welcome your questions, ideas, and feedback.
Please feel free to reach out to me anytime at cfierro1@episd.org or 915-236-8375.
Counselor Corner
Dear Bobcat Families,
We are excited to share some updates to the way we will celebrate our outstanding students this school year!
Our Terrific Kids monthly celebrations will be transitioning to a new recognition program:
Bobcat of the Month. Each month, one student from every class will be selected for demonstrating the Core Essentials Value of the Month. These students will be recognized in several ways:
- Featured on a classroom bulletin board
- Showcased on a schoolwide cafeteria bulletin board
- Highlighted during the morning announcements
- Celebrated through our digital school channels
In addition, we are introducing a new honor: the Extraordinary Bobcat. Every nine weeks, two students from each class will be recognized as exemplary role models of our Cielo Vista Bobcat R.O.A.R. Core Values—Respectful, Organized, Accountable, and Responsible. Families of these students will be invited to attend a special celebration in their honor.
We look forward to continuing to recognize and honor our Bobcats for their leadership, responsibility, and character in meaningful ways throughout the year!
