Ashland Preschool Update
March 13th, 2026
Hello Preschool Families,
We had a wonderful week here at Pittaway! With the support of our PTO, we were excited to welcome the Pumpernickel Puppets on Tuesday afternoon. Students enjoyed a lively performance of Peter Rabbit and especially loved meeting some of the additional puppets, including Gertrude the Ostrich. A few students even had the chance to try manipulating a puppet themselves! At the end of the show, the puppeteer shared how the puppets worked using his hands and the strings attached to them, which was fascinating for our young learners.
On Wednesday evening, I had the pleasure of presenting to the School Committee about our Winter Olympic Family Event. The slideshow included photos and videos of students sharing their favorite activities from the evening. If you would like to view the presentation, you can access it here (if you view in slideshow mode, videos will play automatically as you move through the slides).
As a reminder, safety at Pittaway remains our top priority. We kindly ask that families do not hold doors open for others entering the building. All visitors must be let in by a staff member. Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our school safe.
Please don't forget to join us next Thursday, March 19th at the Ashland Ale House to support our PTO. A portion of all food sales will be donated back to the PTO, which they will use to fund activities and purchase supplies for the preschool. Please make sure to mention Ashland Preschool or show the flyer that will be sent home prior to this event.
Save the date for this year Pittaway Open House, which will be held on April 15th. This years theme is "Out of This World." This is a family drop in event that will run from 4:30pm-6:30pm. More details will be shared as we get closer.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Amanda
