PTA Weekly Update

Good morning Husky families!
Hope you stayed warm this weekend. We have a couple exciting announcements:
- Tickets are now on sale for the annual Adult Social! Whether you're more Seattle grunge or Clueless-preppy, we encourage you to get into the spirit and head "Back the 90s" for a fun night out to support the school on Saturday, February 21.
- Sign up to volunteer at the Kids Heart Challenge on Friday, February 13. We need parent help to run activities on this fun-filled day!
Finally, looking for something to do with the kids when they're off school today? Head over to Chuck-E-Cheese on Rt. 59 for a FUNdraiser! 20 percent of sales from 12 - 9 p.m. will go back to the school.

Dough Raising Events are an opportunity to join with others in our Spring Brook Community for fun, food and a little fundraising. Our school will receive 20% donation of all sales generated during the event.
Spring Brook Elementary has joined the KHC Lifesavers League! Each year, we participate in the American Heart Association's Kids Heart Challenge. Through this program, our students learn how to keep their hearts, bodies and brains healthy while helping kids with special hearts live longer, healthier lives.

Mr. Vine shared information on how to join our online league, and it is attached here. We have a goal too raise $26,000 this year - let's see if we can achieve it!
Fundraising efforts will culminate in a fun-filled day of heart-healthy activity at Spring Brook on February 13. Parents interested in helping to facilitate the fun can sign up here.
If you paid for your child to participate in the Tile Wall Project, make sure to turn artwork in ASAP! We don't want anyone to miss out.

A Note from Our Community Relations Chair:
As the PTA looks for new ways to partner with the community to enrich the lives of our students, we are expanding our sponsorship program for events during the 2025-2026 school year.
If your family owns or is connected to a local business and is interested in sponsoring a Spring Brook event, please see the attached letter for more information or reach out to Ellen Muryan.
PTA Meeting: January 29
Please join us in the Multipurpose Room for the first PTA meeting of 2026. It will be held on Thursday, January 29 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
The board will meet to discuss upcoming plans, events, and more. You can ask questions, and hear from a guest Spring Brook staff member. Can't attend in person? Join via Google Meet. Login info to come.
Adult Social: Saturday, February 21
Save the date and book a sitter! Get your tickets for the Spring Brook Adult Social!
The Adult Social is an adults-only night of fun, offering the opportunity to support the efforts of the PTA while meeting other parents and enjoying each other's company. The evening will feature live music, hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, wine pull, and a fantastic silent auction. This year's theme is Back to the 90s. See the FAQs for more info.

Register to Help at the Kid Heart Challenge
PARENTS! We need your help to run activities for Spring Brook's Kids Heart Challenge on Friday, February 13. Spring Brook PTA is happy to support the American Heart Association and Mr. Vine with this school wide event, however we need your help to make it happen! Sign up here.
