Kinders Discover Horan Nature Area

Kinder classrooms took their science learning outside the classroom and into the wild at Horan Natural Area. On their annual kindergarten science field experience, students explored the river, pretended to be eagles, and discovered firsthand how a beaver's sharp teeth can transform an entire landscape โ€” creating habitat for wildlife right in our own backyard. Our science field experiences help students apply classroom learning in real life.

This is what high-quality instruction and real-world, relevant learning look like.
