What's Happening??!!

Dear Hawley Parents/Guardians, Teachers, and Staff,

October ended with Halloween Celebrations and a Parade. Teachers decorated pumpkins and we also did some planting for Spring. Our Turkey Trot fundraiser is up and running. November brings Parent-Teacher Conferences and our Veteran's Day Celebration.

Buckle up, stay seated, and keep your hands and feet in the car at all times, as you read on to find out What's Happening at Hawley .....

Here are the honorees from October; Congratulations!

It is Turkey Trot Time. This is when we fundraise for our school, have fun, win prizes, and spend the morning running the field with friends and classmates. The Hawely PTA Turkey Trot is Friday, 11/20/26.

Our Goal is to raise $15,000 for Hawley School. After Week 1, we are currently at $6,780.

School-Wide Prizes

• If the school raises $7,500, students will do a Special Activity with their Buddy Class. We are CLOSE (only $720 away ;0)
• If we hit our Goal and the school raises $15,000, everyone gets an Ice Cream Sandwich or Popsicle.
• If we exceed our Goal and the school raises $20,000, we will have an exciting Special Assembly Presentation.

Class Prizes

• The class that raises the most money in Week 1, gets a Hat Day. Ms. Lubin's Class has won this!
• The class that raises the most money in Week 2, gets to Play a Game in the gym against the teachers and staff.
• The class that raises the most money in Week 3, gets an Extra Recess.
• Any Class that has 100% Registration on Fun Hub will have a PJ Day.

Individual Prizes

• Top students each week get a Gift Certificate to Toy Tree. Iliana Rodriguez was this week's Top Earner.
• The Top student from each class at the end will get to hit Mr. Moretti & Mrs. Carmody in the Face with a Pie.

Classes with 100% registration gets a PJ Party. No one has earned this yet.

The Hawley PTA sponsored a day of Daffodil Planting. Every student planted a bulb.

We can not wait to see these bloom in Spring.

This time of year it is cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon. This causes students to leave fleeces, jackets and sweatshirts all over the place. They find their way to the Lost & Found.

If you are missing something, take a look and if you see something familiar in the picture, tell your child to head on down to L&F to get it ;0)

Veteran's Day is Wednesday, November 11. We are in school and Honor our Veterans. We decorate our lobby with Veteran's Stars, have a breakfast for invited Veterans, and have a Parade after our Assembly of Patriotic Songs and Writings.

This is such a special day at Hawley.

If you have any Hawley Wear Clothing that is still in good condition but your children have grown out of, send it in. We are going to get it to families that could use it.

Just put it in a bag and write Pack Shack on it and have your child bring it to the office. This is such a Terrific way to Care through Share!

• Parent-Teacher Conferences are this week.
• The Hawley Lost & Found is growing. If missing a sweatshirt, jacket or fleece, send your child to the Lost or Found OR stop by before / after your Conference.
• Make sure your child knows how they are going home on the Early Release Days if different than a regular day. AND, make sure our Main Office is also aware. Thank You~

• Fri, 11/20: Turkey Trot / Fun Run

• Thurs, 12/3: Picture Re-Take Day
