Student Shout Out- Junior- Noah Kastner

Shout out to Junior Noah Kastner for receiving the honor of being a Draelos Science Scholar for this summer! Congratulations! The Draelos Science Scholars program is a 6-week summer research internship opportunity for high school students from the Triad region (usually rising seniors) who are interested in STEM disciplines. The program was founded by Drs. Zoe and Michael Draelos in 2014 and host institutions have included High Point University, UNC Greensboro, Wake Forest University, and (since 2021) the JSNN. Summer interns partake in ongoing research projects in materials science, chemistry, biology, and related fields, gaining practical experience using state-of-the-art facilities and reinforcing their interest in pursuing a college degree in a STEM discipline.
