Event Information

Kindergarten Curiosity Night

Attention ALL Incoming Kindergarten Families! Please plan on coming to the school so you can meet your child's teacher, walk them to class, get pictures, and drop off their supplies. Teachers will have a little presentation for you & go over some things so please plan on being here at 6. Parents will not be allowed to walk students into the building and to class on Friday, we will have plenty of caring adults that will make sure your child gets to class safely. Although you may find it hard, we find It is best for the student to start proper procedures from day one.

Event Information

Supply Drop Off

The building will be open if you would like to pop in and drop off your child's supplies. You may also send them in on Friday if you prefer. Teachers may or may not be in the classroom, this is just a quick drop off for grades 1-5. Teachers ask that you just sit the bag of supplies on the desk - DO NOT UNPACK anything. They will do that as a class.

Popsicles with the Principal!

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to meet me! It was great to meet so many of you before school started. I am looking forward to the best school year yet. If you ever have any questions or concerns - please make calling (or emailing) the school to speak with your child's teacher or me your first priority. Education is a partnership & we want it to be a positive experience from day one at Mill Creek! Whatever the issue - we can work together to come up with a solution!

Lunch Visitors

Lunch visitors - we will begin allowing lunch visitors after the Labor Day Holiday. We need a little time to get into our routine here at school before we add extra distractions. Please be on the lookout for that information. We will have some new guidelines and reservation policies this year to keep it more manageable. Don't worry, you can still come & have lunch with your child!

My name is Crystal Lemley. My husband, Ryan, and I live in Coatesville with our two daughters Hannah and Rylynn along with our Australian Shepherd, Koda. I’ve worked at MCE since 2019 and I’m excited to become a Wildcat. We relocated from Parke County in 2019 and we are happy with our move and being a part of the Mill Creek community!

Alayna Brewer - IA

My name is Alayna Brewer. I am excited to join Mill Creek West as an instructional assistant this year! I moved to the area with my husband and three amazing kids last October, and I love the community here! I love to learn, read, and create things. I spend most of my free time crafting and spending time with my kids. I can't wait to get to know all the students and staff here at West!

Summer Celebration - Hosted by PTO

For any student that completed the summer packet that went home the last day of school, PTO will have a small reward party on Friday August 25th. ALL packets are due to the classroom teacher by Monday, August 21st.

Vaccinations - these must be up to date by Sept 1 or your child will have to be exempted from school. 3 options:

  • They can be 100% complete.

  • You can provide proof of a Dr. appt scheduled.

  • You have the form filled out for religious exemption.

SchoolCare - We are excited to share we are partnering with SchoolCare this year to manage our student health information. SchoolCare, our new digital health platform, allows you to access and update your child's heath information and is both HIPAA and FERPA compliant. This school year we are requiring electronically in SchoolCare so that our school nurses receive valuable information about your child’s health.

Please follow these steps to create your SchoolCare account and complete student health registration:

  1. Check your inbox! Use the email invite that’s sent to you from activation@schoolcare.com and click on the link to begin.

  2. Create a password and log into your SchoolCare account.

  3. Once you have logged in, you will see “My Family.” Click on the orange sign-up button to begin registration for your child.


If you need further assistance with your account, please contact support@schoolcare.com.


Missing School - If your child will be missing school for any reason, please call the office by 9:00 am to report the absence. If your child is seeing a Dr, please obtain a Dr note.
