Congratulations to Cindy Morse for always finding unique ways to help fund teaching life long cooking skills! Mrs. Morse recently put in for and was awarded a Wisconsin Potatoes in the Classroom grant for this first semester to use toward the purchase of Wisconsin potatoes. She not only uses them in cooking projects, but also, they are perfect to use for teaching proper and safe cutting skills with her culinary arts students. Congrats, Mrs. Morse!

Meal Account Balance Notifications

To help you stay informed about your student’s meal account balance, Food Service sends low-balance notifications through Skyward. These alerts notify you when your child’s balance falls below $15.00, giving you time to add funds before the account reaches zero.

Please note that families must turn on these notifications in Skyward to receive the emails.

To enable low-balance notifications:

  1. Log in to your Skyward Family Access account.

  2. Select My Account in the upper right corner.

  3. At the bottom of the page under the Email Notifications, check whether you’d like to receive the notification on your wall, through email, or both.

We encourage all families to enable this feature to avoid unexpected meal charges or interruptions.

Thank you for helping us ensure every student has access to meals each day!

Attendance Reminders

For Absences: To call your child in for school, please dial 920-303-2300 and press 1 for the attendance line. Please leave a message with your name, your child's name and reason for absence. If the absence is illness related, please note any symptoms in your message.

For students who are in extra curricular activities: Students must be in attendance for the entire school day in order to practice or compete in an event. Special circumstances may merit exception with prior approval from the Principal/Dean of Students, or designee. To see if the absence can be approved:

  • Step 1 - Parent/Guardian notification to office (Mrs. Prado, Mrs. Stadler or Mrs. Dobberstein) at least 24 hours prior to absence)
  • Step 2 - If absence is approved, Student picks up signed Excused Slip from office
  • Step 3 - Student gives signed Excused Slip to coach/advisor to participate the day of the absence

Students are allowed 10 occurrences per school year. Medical and dental appointments can be considered a "no count" absence with a doctor's note provided and will not count toward the student's 10 days. Driving lessons, however, DO count as an occurrence as it is not something offered by the school district. If you have any questions regarding what does and does not count toward your child's days, please feel free to contact their school office for more information!

If an absence is deemed unexcused it will result in ineligibility for participation in extracurricular activities until the next full day of attendance.

Omro Powerlifting Needs Your Help!

Our current record boards are outdated and show only our past lifters who competed in the "equipped" divisions. This means that they wore squat suits, bench suits, and knee wraps to assist with their lifts. For the past several years, our powerlifters have only participated in the "raw" divisions, which means they do not wear the assistive equipment. We want to continue honoring those lifters who competed equipped by keeping their records in the weight room, but we also want to honor our lifters who have set records in the raw divisions. And that's where we are asking for your help. Please consider making a donation to the Omro Powerlifting Team to help pay for new record boards. The cost of two new record boards (one for boys, one for girls) comes to a total of $710. Any money donated above the $710 will go into the Powerlifting activity account to be used for other costs throughout the year.

You can donate by making a check out to School District of Omro.

Please write "Powerlifting Donation" in the memo line by November 25 and return the envelope to the high school office. Thank you!
