Solstice Tree Season

This year Cambridge is teaming up with Fulton County DFACS to give gift cards to teenagers who are in foster care. Often teens are the “forgotten ones” on holiday lists as they aren’t easy to shop for and aren’t the first picked from an angel tree or they receive a left-over gift intended for an eight-year-old.

For those interested in participating (teachers, students, parents): Stop by the social studies hallway (2800) and pick up a solstice tree taped to the wall and return it with your gift card (either in a gift bag or wrapped in a small box) by Friday, December 12th to Mrs. Hall's room. Instructions are on the back of the solstice tree! For each gift card you bring in, you can get one hour of community service.

See Mrs. Hall in room 2807 for more information!

Show Your Appreciation

We are entering the season of Thanksgiving and Gratitude. We would like to collect money during this holiday season to show our support staff (custodians, cafeteria workers, CSA, and paraprofessionals) how much we appreciate them. There is a box in the main office where you can donate cash. We will take the collection and divide among each of them and present them with a gift on December 19. Any amount is appreciated.

Cambridge Angel Tree

We are thrilled to bring back our Cambridge Angel Tree this holiday season! We will be hosting a gift card giving program. Join us in making the season brighter for our students and families by donating a gift card of your choice. Please drop off all donations to School Social Worker, Kaitlyn Lynch, in Bridge West, no later than Friday, December 12th. Thank you all so much for your kindness and support this season of giving!

End of First Semester

Final Assessments

Every class is giving a Final Assessment in the last few days of school. Students will take Final Assessments:

  • Periods 1, 2, and 3 on December 17, 2025, on a half-day bell schedule.
  • Periods 4 or 5, 6, and 7 will be on December 18, 2025, on a half-day bell schedule.
  • On Friday, December 19, we will run a half-day schedule for recovery of the last unit assessments (only the last unit assessments as all other recovery should be completed before Final Assessments are given).
  • Students who are off campus for virtual or dual enrollment classes are not required to come into the building during the period that corresponds to their virtual/dual enrollment period. They only come into the building for face-to-face classes.
  • No Final Assessments will be given early.
  • See the end of semester bell schedule at this link.

Pre-approved Absences

We do not pre-approve absences in the last two weeks of school (December 8 – 19, 2025). Students are expected to be at school on the last three days of school. Only exception to this is for students who do not have a recovery from the last unit of work may stay home on Friday, December 19, 2025. Students who do need recovery, but do not come in on December 19th, have forfeited their ability to recover the grade from the last unit. Recovery will not take place in January for First Semester grades. No Final Assessments will be given early.
