The Weekly Update #4
August 22nd, 2025
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are officially down to the final five days of the semester, and what a ride this first half of the year has been! We are incredibly proud of all our hardworking scholars and the growth they’ve shown. Thank you for your continued partnership—it truly makes a difference.
As we wrap up the semester, please help us ensure that all assignments are submitted before grades are finalized. This is an important time for students to finish strong!
🎒 Important Reminder — No Backpacks Next Week
- Beginning next week, students will not be allowed to bring backpacks to school.
- Girls may bring a purse, but it must be no larger than a standard sheet of paper (8.5 x 11 inches).
- Students should only bring the essentials needed for class.
⏰ Early Release — Friday, December 19th
- Please note that Friday, December 19th is an Early Release Day.
- Students will be dismissed at 1:55 PM.
- Please make any necessary transportation arrangements to ensure a smooth and safe dismissal.
✨ Let’s Crush This Last Week Before the Holiday Break!
We want our scholars ending the semester on a high note—focused, prepared, and ready for a well-deserved break!
Please continue reading this newsletter for:
- A note from Principal Suckie
- Important district updates
- Upcoming events and reminders
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. Let’s finish the semester strong, Knights! ✨
Tardy Policy Updates for Between Classes:
Parents, we need your help ensuring students are in class on time. Three or more tardies in one week will result in an after-school detention. If a student receives three or more tardies for two consecutive weeks, the consequence will elevate to a Saturday detention.
Thank you for helping us reinforce responsibility and respect for instructional time. ⏰💛
Please continue reading through the rest of the newsletter for more updates, upcoming dates, and ways to stay involved. Thank you for your continued partnership and support!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As the weather gets colder, we want to ensure students stay warm while still following the school dress code.
Please review the following reminders with your child:
- Warm-up pants, sweatpants, joggers, and athletic pants are not allowed as uniform bottoms.
- Students may wear sweatpants over their jeans on cold mornings, but they must remove them once inside the building.
- Beanies, hoodies, and other cold-weather headgear may be worn outdoors but must be removed indoors unless they meet dress code guidelines.
We have also seen an increase in students not wearing their assigned grade-level uniform shirt. Please help us ensure students are wearing the correct color each day:
- 6th Grade – Black
- 7th Grade – Red
- 8th Grade – Yellow
If a student arrives out of dress code:
- They will be required to call a parent or guardian to bring appropriate clothing.
- If a change of clothes cannot be provided, the student will be assigned to ISS for the day.
If your family does not have appropriate clothing for the colder weather, please reach out to our campus. We are here to support you and can assist with resources to help keep students warm and in dress code.
Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and partnership in keeping our scholars safe, warm, and ready to learn.
Winter Coat Drive!
We are currently collecting coats, jackets, and sweaters for families in need. Donations can be dropped off in the front office. The last day to donate is December 18th! Thank you for helping keep our community warm this winter.

Every day truly counts in Spring ISD! When students are in class, they stay connected, confident and ready to learn. Missing even one day before Winter break can set students back, as new material is still being taught. Let’s finish the year strong—together in culture, together in accountability. 💛
