EOG/EOC Testing Continues
EOG Retesting Opportunity
As EOG scores begin to arrive, we want families to know about an important opportunity for students who scored Not Proficient on an End-of-Grade assessment.
In previous years, students who were eligible for retesting had to return during summer school to take the assessment again. This year, we have been given the opportunity to complete retesting before the end of the school year.
Research and experience show that many students improve their scores when taking an assessment for a second time. They are more familiar with the testing format, have had an opportunity to reflect on their performance, and often feel more confident.
If your child is eligible for retesting, I strongly encourage you to allow them to participate and to encourage them to give their best effort one more time. A few additional points can make a significant difference and may result in your child reaching proficiency.
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement as we help our students finish the school year strong.
Turn In Overdue Library Books
Overdue library book notices have been sent home with students. Please have your child return the item or pay for the item in exact change to the library. Your child received a notice at school with the title and amount they owe.
Please remember that students with overdue library books or unpaid book fees may not be allowed to participate in some end-of-year fun activities. To help maintain our school library collection for all students, we ask that all books be returned or payment be made for any lost or damaged books. Thank you for your support and attention to this matter.
