Arrival Procedures for September 3 & 4
We will be following alternate arrival procedures for the first and second day of school.
Teachers will meet their students outside on Tuesday, 9/3, and Wednesday, 9/4. Each teacher will have a sign and students will line up with their classes before entering the building. Due to security safeguards, parents will not be allowed to enter the building.
Students in Grades K-1 will meet in the gated black top area to the left of the main entrance doors.
Students in Grades 2-5 and ASD 3-5 will meet on the lawn near the upper grade wing.
ASD students in grades K-2 will enter through the main entrance. A staff member will escort them to their classroom.
All students will be directed to meet their teachers in the above grade-level meeting points.
Students who are riding the bus will be dropped off and then escorted by a staff member to their grade-level meeting points. ASD K-2 students will be escorted to their classrooms.
Students who attend SACC in the morning will be escorted by a staff member to their grade-level meeting points.
If your children are walking or being dropped off, please bring them to the meeting area for their grade level.
There will be many staff members in the halls and outside to help students locate their teacher. Staff members will also have class lists to help students who may forget their teacher’s name.
Since there will be many students in the front of the building at arrival, we will be closing the main driveway at 8:30am. No cars will be able to enter or exit the front parking lot after 8:30. The main driveway and parking lot will reopen once all students have entered the building.
Daily Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Daily Arrival Procedures (Beginning Thursday, September 5)
Walkers/Student Drop-Offs:
Parents dropping off their child to school during the supervised window of time of 8:45-9:00 should drop their child off in the front of the building.
Please pull cars up as close as possible to the main entrance so that multiple cars can unload simultaneously.
Do not pass or drive around cars that are in the drop-off line.
Students should remain on sidewalks unless being escorted by an adult.
Students riding bicycles to school must walk their bikes once on campus. Bikes can be stored and locked at the rack to the right of the main entrance.
Due to serious safety concerns with bus and staff parking traffic, please do not drop off students in the rear of the building.
Students Riding the Bus:
- Buses will drop students at the rear door by the library. Staff members will be present to help students off the bus and escort them to their grade-level hallways.
Students Attending SACC:
- SACC students will be dismissed at 8:50. Staff members will be present to escort students to their grade-level hallways.

Due to the large number of walkers at Woodcrest, we will close off the main driveway from 3:20-3:40 for student safety. If you elect to park in the lot to pick up your child, please be willing to wait until the driveway opens at 3:40.
Walkers/Student Pick-Ups:
- Students should only exit the building through doors that are staffed by by an adult, which are the front main office doors and the new doors by the large APR.
- Students should remain on the sidewalks unless escorted by an adult.
- Any students riding bicycles
Students Riding the Bus:
- Students taking a bus will wait in their classrooms until their bus has arrived. Students will be escorted by a staff member to the bus loop in the rear of the building.
