PICK UP/DROP OFF PATTERN
Parents of car riders are asked to use the front entrance of the school or the 41st Street entrance to the school. Parents are STRONGLY DISCOURAGED from entering the student/stadium lot due to the students and bus traffic. Quick Links
NEWLY ENROLLED AT HOGGARD? YOU NEED TO CREATE YOUR PARENT PORTAL!
Newly enrolled students' parents will need to follow steps to create their portal.
NHCS has a great new webpage to assist parents, and I have it linked on my Parent Resources > Infinite Campus tab.
On my IC tab, there is a link that they can request assistance if they cannot get into their account.
I do have the ability to create parent portals if they get stuck.
Student Portals
The newly enrolled students will not receive their portal information or their email information until they are assigned their laptops.
All laptops have to connect to the Hoggard Wifi in order get their accounts set up.
EVERYTHING YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW AS A HOGGARD FAMILY!
All Things Hoggard
Keep up with all things at Hoggard High School with our official website and the Parent Resources tab.
----------------------------
Annual Update
Parents whose students attended a public school in New Hanover County in 25-26 will need to complete their Annual Update via their Parent Portal. This provides us with your FERPA choices for the school year and allows you to update your emergency contacts and review all of your household information.
----------------------------
Current Immunization Records
Students who are 17 or a Senior (whichever comes first) are required to have their complete Meningococcal immunization before the end of September.
Parents may upload current immunization records to this link. Please make sure it is a clear, full-page photo or PDF scan (we recommend the free mobile app, Adobe Scan).
If you have a newly enrolled student from another county, another state, a charter, private, or homeschool and need to provide immunizations to Hoggard, you may also upload them to this link.
--------------------------
Bus Transportation
Student routes will soon be released by NHCS. You can view routes for all NHCS schools with this link. When the link is live, it will be blue under Hoggard's listing.
Track Your Student's Bus
NHCS has a new bus tracking service this year called Chipmunk. Read more about it on the NHCS Transportation website.
You will need your student's ID number in order to set up your account. Please note that we cannot provide student ID numbers over the phone or via email and your student will need to share it with you.

Hoggard Parents and Students,
Did you know there is a health clinic on campus, separate from the school nurse, where enrolled students can receive medical and mental healthcare services? We offer:
- Sports Physicals
- Required Immunizations
- Annual Well Visits or NC School Physicals
- Appointments for minor medical concerns (with rapid testing on site for strep, covid, flu and more)
- Outpatient Mental Health Therapy

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL OF OUR FAMILIES
Please visit our Hoggard website and our Parent Resources link for answers to your questions and to keep up with current school information. Click on the titles in the School News and Upcoming Events columns for detailed pop up information.
School Calendar
The NHCS district school calendar is available on the Parent Resources site. This is a great “fridge file” so you can keep up with student holidays, teacher workdays, end of grading periods, report card distribution days, etc. (Students do not report to school on Undesignated and Designated Teacher Workdays.)
Parent Portals
NHCS and Hoggard staff know that parents are having a difficult time with parent portals.
Please visit the Parent Resources link (hoggard.nhcs.net > Parent Resources) to view
the instructional video and use the activation code locator. If you cannot access your parent portal after that, please complete this form. A great feature of the new parent portals is that parents can update their own phone numbers and email addresses when they change.
Not Receiving NHCS and Hoggard School Communications?
All district and school communications are rooted in Infinite Campus with the email addresses and phone numbers we have on file for parents and guardians. If you are not receiving communications via email, text, or phone call, please check your contact information in your parent portal and update it if need be. If your information is correct, and you do not receive communications in the next few weeks, please complete this form.
Is Your Household Listed Incorrectly?
Infinite Campus is household-centric and NHCS and Hoggard staff recognize that some households have not ported over properly from PowerSchool (which was student-centric). If your household appears with incorrect people in your account, please complete this form. If your address is incorrect, you will need to email Proof of Residency to andrea.stein@nhcs.net for it to be updated.
Weekly Newsletters
Weekly newsletters are distributed via email and text on Friday afternoons. They are also available on the Parent Resources site under the Weekly Newsletters tab. All newsletters will be housed there for quick reference.
Inclement Weather School Closing Notifications
In the event of inclement weather and school closures (we’ve had a few hurricane and snow days here and there), there are many outlets that announce school closures and delays. Please do not solely rely on a phone call or text message from Hoggard High School. All NHCS social media channels, Hoggard High School social media channels, and WWAY and WECT news sites are linked on our Parent Resources site under the Communication Channels tab.
Report Cards
All student report cards are distributed at the end of quarters 1, 2, and 3 in a scheduled homeroom period. Students who do not pick them up during homeroom may pick them up in the office for two weeks after distribution. Students who are dually enrolled with local colleges will not see grades until the end of each semester. All end of the school year report cards will be mailed home via USPS mail.
