The season of being thankful...
Welcome to the month of November! With the fall season in full effect, it is another great opportunity to be thankful for what we have now and in the present! It’s easy to look ahead at everything we need to accomplish this week—the tests, the projects, the busy schedule. But sometimes, the greatest source of power and contentment is simply realizing that waking up is the biggest win of all.
No matter what challenges lie ahead, every new morning is a fresh chance to learn, to grow, and to contribute. This week, I encourage every member of our school community—students, staff, and families—to take a single moment when they rise to acknowledge one thing they are grateful for. You'll find it changes the tone of your whole day.

Activities Banquet on December 7th
After careful consideration of all teams and coaches, the Fall Activities Banquet will be MOVED to December 7, at 6:00pm. The SRC Booster club will provide a sandwich meal and the four fall teams will present.
We understand changing the banquet this late can be an inconvenience to some, but we truly appreciate the communities flexibility and support as we navigate this new banquet style. We want all athletes and coaches to be done with the season, postseason awards to be out, and every fall sport to be together.
We thank you for your continued support and hope to see you at the fall seasonal banquet.
Thank you!

Message for the Week:
Message from Mr. Tejkl
We represent ourselves in every moment...
Good morning!
I hope you enjoyed October and are ready for November! There are so many things to be thankful for and the ability to rise each day is one of those reasons. There are things that we can point out that aren't going well or look across the street and be wondering why I don't have what they have. However, if you take a step back, being able to be around loved ones, come to a place that you know people care for you, and also being able to send our loved ones to SRC because of the many great reasons; it makes you take a step back and reflect on life itself.
It’s easy to get caught up in the stress of a busy week—the tests that need studying for, the deadlines that come faster than we think, or the countless tasks that fill our days. When we focus only on what’s ahead, we can miss the blessings right in front of our faces; the chance to show up and try again.
This week's wisdom, from the Buddha, reminds us that no matter how big the problems seem, the sheer gift of a new day offers a powerful perspective: “Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.” This isn't about ignoring our challenges; it's about shifting our focus to acknowledge that something good always exists—even if it’s just our health or a small moment of learning. To put this wisdom into action, I'm challenging all of us here at SRC —students, staff, and families—to practice the "Daily Win" this week.
When you wake up, take a moment to be thankful for a kind friend, a loving environment, a good grade, or even just your morning coffee. By embracing this "Daily Win," you create a sense of satisfaction that makes all the big, upcoming challenges feel more manageable. Let's make this a mindful, thankful, and successful week!
Have a great rest of your Sunday!
Quote of the week to reflect on:
"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us be thankful."
The Buddha
Sincerely,
Tucker Tejkl
